The Karl's are dead. Long live the Karl's..... (1 Viewer)

I understand the hesitation to murder these, but they are essentially unusable and have been bouncing around the classifieds for a decade, to many declarations of love and admiration. They still end up back in the classifieds everytime.

Let them live and be used as they were intended to

I’m sorry that you feel that way. But they were offered back first to those that I bought from.

I know but at the time I couldn’t afford to buy them back :banghead:
I have been guilty of murder in the past but I hate to see this happen to Nevada chips... A moment of silence please.

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Do chips really exist outside of casinos if they just sit on a shelf in a basement or closet?

Well, they actually did get used in my home game. Used the non denom as $1 and blue 5 as $5’s and non denom green as $25. Just didn get as much use as some other but yes, they saw the felt from time to time.

I’m not a baller like many here, but I really don’t see the problem.

If they are your chips, you can do whatever the hell you want with them. If you wanted to super glue them to wallpaper your bathroom, that’s your prerogative.

At the end of the day, he’s making anyone who owns original Karl’s chips richer because he’s making the originals more scarce. At the same time, he’s creating a useful set for himself. Win - win.

Stop trying to guilt trip the guy with his own property.

Do you even chip?

I didn't even realize there was a difference. Learned something else new today!

I'm sure the feeling is because cash checks are supposed to be destroyed in Nevada so very few make it out of the casinos as it is.

That said blue chips with fives on them really don't have much poker use, so I get the rationale. I do home the inlays are a good tribute when we see them.

Looks like you're gonna need to sand down the nub in the middle before labeling.

I also labeled over a few of them and they dont effect the label or cause a bump under neath.
