Thanks everyone, you're doing my job for me :)

@mummel - yes, if you're labelling TH&C chips, you can just apply a label directly over the existing inlay. I recommend unlaminated labels for that purpose, since there is less room (depth) in the inlay area i.e. usually not enough depth for laminated labels.

In terms of the diameter of the label, I can cut them to whatever size is needed. For most chips, including both TH&C and RHC, I make them very slightly smaller than the inlay area, so that they will fit nicely without jamming up against the edges, but still covering the existing inlay. For normal inlays (i.e. not oversized) there is a band of "blank" chip between the inlay and the edge of the recess, so as long as the label ends somewhere in that gap, it's fine. (I still try to get them as close to the edge of the recess as practical.)

For removing & replacing, the new labels go into the space left by the old inlay.

It does have to be the exact same size, but that's not really tricky as Gear can cut them precisely to whatever size is required. Applying them perfectly isn't too hard either, especially after some practice.

Here's my go to picture for relabels. These are examples of labels that were sized to fill (almost) the entire recess and were pretty easy to apply.

Amazing. Where did you get these chips?

Nice, how long did it take to harvest those? How many did you get?
The casino just opened up under the Jack name used to be the Horseshoe (cincinatti not cleveland), and @JFCJ harvested them for me. I actually need to get in touch with him to see if there are still some mint or VG racks still available, I would like to get another rack.

IIRCI had him get me 105

The mailman came to my door today with a package from @Gear! I knew it was going to be a good day! I had him make me some 25c and $20 labels to go with my snapper limit set. They turned out INCREDIBLE!!! Another awesome project in the books for another happy customer. It's difficult to exaggerate how stoked I am and how great these look in person. Thanks again Chris!

And now... the pr0n!

Looks like I hit the light blue just about right! I was worried since I didn't have a sample chip on-hand, just going on previous work with chips of a similar (base) color.

Had these since April, finally put them on and they look great.

THANKS CHRIS!

Very much this!

I am thinking about relabeling the cleveland horseshoe 500s into....... 500s. The color matching on the originals are just so shitty, lol

It seems like I read somewhere in this forum that the Horseshoes purposefully had different color on the inlay because of some weird rule/law in Ohio??? Perhaps I just dreamed that up but I swear someone said that at some point... Not to take anything away from Gear's work though as it is fantastic!

Thanks all! @Phobos223, you're probably thinking of this thread: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/gear-labels-are-better-than-inlays.15984

I made a lengthy response -- https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/gear-labels-are-better-than-inlays.15984/page-2#post-285508

which explains why I think (A) there is no law like that, and (B) there's a reason why Paulson's colormatching is terrible. Basically it all comes down to cost -- they could do a much better job if they really wanted to, but they mostly don't care because it's much too expensive.

Ahhh yes that's exactly what I was thinking of! Thanks, I thought I was going mad trying to find it lol
