Might be the beer talking but he NAILED the color match on the Horseshoe tri-moons into quarters that even if they were kept as snappers the new labels would be an improvement!

Damn you're right huh. Very nice!!

If I ever get labels made I'm going color matched for sure. Casinos are usually required to have non-matching inlays, but matched look much cooler IMO.

Wow I didnt realize the pink part was a sticker. Perfect match. Nicely done.

You keep saying this, but I don't recall ever seeing it in print. Can you please cite a regulatory reference for your claim?

Do you still have the GPI proofs for the Horseshoes? That spec was listed for the orange chip. I asked one of my gaming contacts about it and he said it's for security and actually required on every chip above $5. The OAC rules don't specifically address this but I guess it's one of those things where the executive director won't approve chips that don't comply. As I stated the first time I mention it, it's for security reasons I don't completely understand because really, I don't. I fail to see how a slightly different inlay color is adds to the security one gains with things like UV marking and LaserTrak. Unlike those features the colors are trivial to duplicate. And yet all the Ohio casinos I'm aware of follow this and I've seen it in plenty of other states too.

By the same token, strictly reading the rules there is no automatic authorization or approved color scheme for $2 value chips in Ohio. And yet, the Cincinnati casino had them as Horseshoe and has them again as JACK because the director has presumably so approved.

Yep. For used chips its pretty much the only option... with new mint chips you can choose the laminated options, but I stuck with unlaminated even for the tri-moon chips

It's almost too close for laminated on the Horseshoe snappers. I tested some last night. The recess depth is almost the same as the laminated label thickness. It will work, technically, but the label will be almost flush with the outer ring of the chip. You're likely to get a few spinners where the contact point between stacked chips is the label and not the clay itself.

If you want to use a laminated label with these, I believe removing the original inlay is the way to go. Fortunately, @Gear provides this service as well ;)
