Table categories (1 Viewer)

We are coming up with standard model tables, meaning 3 levels of custom tables with more standard sizes and default option choices, with minor customization options. Fully custom tables are still going to be available under a separate category.

Please help with the names that you'd like to see used for each category. There will be 3 tier levels: Basic, Mid-range and High end.

Right now, I've come up with 3 different titles:

The Casual
The Gambler
The Hustler

Each one of these categories has an oval option and a round/polygonal (hex, octo, deca) option as well.

And fire away!

Basic Table Talk everyone knows-

The Flop
The Turn
The River

Bronze, silver, gold for the 3 tiers. Platinum for the full custom.

You mentioned you don't want to cause confusion and you have customers who are not very knowledgeable or even poker players.

Whenever I'm on a website I'm looking for clear information. It can be a huge turnoff if it's difficult to obtain basic information.

I'd say let the creativity and quality of your tables speak for themselves instead of using gimmick names. Make it as clear as possible for all customers. Using bronze -> platinum naming is pretty boring but it's easy to understand by anyone.

If you want to make it easy understandable I would pick something that immediately differentiates the different qualities such as
Silver
Gold
Diamond
or
Queens
Kings
Aces

I‘m not creative enough to bring a fun proposal, let other handle this.

I strongly agree with this. I frequently get confused between mild and medium salsa. I can't remember/figure out which one is hotter. Make it simple so people can easily differentiate between levels/quality.

Gotta say I love this. But I doubt that I can get away with either Whopper or Big Mac without some really big franchises coming after me. The Royale with Cheese though.... it might have to make an appearance somewhere. ;)

Love it
If you send a sample of each to me and @Josh Kifer....he will take care of the franchises ;)

Or you could go:

Tier 1: Atlantic City
Want to feel like a real rounder, this table is for you.
A great choice for people looking for an awsome table on a modest budget.

Tier 2: Las Vegas
For players that want to step up their games, this table is for you.
Create a real casino feeling with added features en sublime finish.

Tier 3: Macao
Step into the world of unlimited dreams...this table has it all and would be a centre piece in every casino.
Spice up your cardroom or man cave with the best of the best.

I currently have each name on a button which is different colored. Bronze, Gold and Platinum. I'm hoping that these colors also translate to the different tiers of the table, though it's subtle.

I thought of using just those 3 terms, bronze, gold and platinum (or bronze, silver and gold) but found it's a bit plain and boring.

I'm likely going to stay away from titles that are the same as the names of games, since I don't want to cause any confusion. I don't want customers thinking that the table is only meant to be used for that kind of game (not all buyers are very knowledgeable, or even poker players).

Isn't Snake eyes usually bad? Like for craps?
I like the idea of Jack, Queen, King maybe, or Queen, King and Ace.
Gold is now worth more than platinum

Bronze, silver, gold for the 3 tiers. Platinum for the full custom.

I am agreement with this.

The names of your categorizes should be easily understandable by not only poker players but by non-players as well. Too many of the suggestions would be confusing. Personally, I like Bronze, Silver and Gold with Platinum reserved for full custom.

I would say that Tony's target audience are 95% card players/ poker players....if so, you should use something that appeals to that public.
For me...bronze, silver & gold is way too generic and frankly would not 'inspire' me as a customer.

I think with using the correct 'lingo' you create a specific feeling of professionalism & connect with peer group.
Tony's stuff is first rate and he has a huge advantage being a player himself and receives a lot of genuine feedback from PCF members.
Bronze, silver & gold may be good for wallmart tables (NOFI) but T_chan's stuff deserves much more...

Maybe, but it works Tony,it really works!
Just listen to it !
Queen-size
King-size
Snakes eyes (Snake-size)
Its brilliant!! Just brilliant!!!
MooaHAHAHAHAH! They said I was crazy but I showed them!!

I like tiers like rewards members get at a casino. Go higher like
Gold, Platinum, Diamond ?

or simple like Purple Level 1, Purple Level 2, Purple Level 3 (P for poker)
That way if you decide on a different color for a different line like Black Level 1 for blackjack tables (B for blackjack)

I 'd say "Jack-Queen-King",
or "The Bet, The Raise, The All-In",
or, in Uncle Doyle's probably old-fashioned ranking, "The Grinder, the Rounder, the Gambler".

So many great suggestions, thanks everyone. I'm going to have to put some thought into these.

The different metals, gold, silver, platinum, diamond, etc are great, though a bit generic but straightforward.

JQKA also good. The Grinder is a nice term as well for the lower level table, maybe instead of the Casual.

I've decided to do a combination.

Bronze Jack
Silver Queen
Gold King
Diamond Ace

Or

Jack of diamonds
Queen of clubs
King of hearts
Ace of spades

I know that some say clubs are lower than diamonds, but it depends what game. I also want alternating colors.

I think this is the most straightforward without being boring. I REALLY want to get "Royale with cheese" in there somewhere if I can... That would just be awesome.

Now I just need to figure out if there's any variation of the above that I should consider. Right away, gold king makes me think "The Midas". Is there any others that work with the J, Q and A? Ace of diamonds is kind of a given, but I think the diamond should be actual diamond, not a red diamond.

Diamond Ace could be 'The Solitaire'. It's a single stone ring and it also suggests one of a kind which works for the full custom table level.

Bronze Jack?

I like this:
Bronze Jack
Silver Queen
Gold King
Diamond Ace

Maybe you can add your Royale to each and use the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond as the packages for each?

ROYALE JACK (Round)
ROYALE QUEEN (6' Oval)
ROYALE KING (7' Oval)
ROYALE ACE (8' Oval)

Bronze includes: etc (whatever you decide)
Silver includes: etc
Gold includes: etc
Diamond includes: etc

Example: Someone orders a 7' Table with the highest package: Royale King - Silver Package
