Shuffle Tech review (2 Viewers)

What price point are we talking? lol
I put money into it sending it to Illinois to get serviced. Need money money back. I think you can dig up the thread I posted my annoyance with duty and shipping.

I also hate PP exchange not sure why Americans aren’t able to do account bank transfers …

I haven't been on in awhile but thought i'd follow up.

It's been just over 2 years since I bought the shuffle tech. We toned the games down to 2x/month due to life changes and having some players fall out of the group which makes it harder to get a game together. I'd say it has easily gotten 150+ hours of use total. It jams more than it use to, but I am also much worse about cleaning it than i use to be. it jams about once an hour but its usually easy to clear the jam. The sound is now really easy to ignore after playing with it for so long. I'd highly recommend getting one if you play somewhat consistently.

another 2 year update:

It is now about 4 years since I bought the shuffle tech and last weekend during our now monthly game one of the pulleys snapped. If its cheap to repair we will get it repaired. the group discussed possibly buying a new one instead but i dont think we'll end up purchasing a new one to use it just 12x a year.

@2Chips1chair, thanks for the update.

Had mine almost 3 years. Still glad I bought it. Went through a phase where I didn't like babysitting the shuffler, with loading and unloading it, as we do self deal. But now I'm fine with it - I corral the cards most of the time, other times with help. I load the machine, and hand across the table to the next dealer. I guess I am used to it. I still am able to do the others things a host does. And it isn't that loud, IMHO, no one complains about it, and it is efficient.

One thing I did start doing recently, due to another chipper on here suggesting, is to give up the dealers/shuflfer seat to others that don't mind dealing or managing the shuffler. That eases the load.

But all in all, I still am glad to have it. I does jam occasionally, like once a night. I use BA, FS, and Copags poker sized, card. It is really nice not to have to worry about shuffling, or a player who isn't good at it, or is distracted from having to nudge them or say something about how they shuffle. And players really like it. It's +EV, IMHO.

YMMV.
