I'm not sure if scrown is better than large. I think it was used more, so more people are familiar with it. The real popularity is driven by the history of TR King and how some of those employees left to start other popular chip companies. Here's the high overview of the history. Why is it better than Large Crown?

I'd go with the Small Crown, but with 1" inlays... :Toying with doing this on scrown... likely keeping it with diasquare.

All these mocks/ideas are truly fascinating.
If I was designing my cpc's now instead of earlier this year, I would have chosen small crown instead of "A".
Sounds like you need a new custom set now. I'm in for samples
