Last week was my first foray back to the casino in somewhere between 6-8 months, and I came out a winner for $100 playing 6-12 O8 on a Friday evening.

This time around I hit the casino Saturday afternoon. Things were in full-swing with three full tables of 3/6 Omaha hi/lo running along with a wait list, and an interest-list had been started for 6/12 O8 plus 10/20 and a 20/40 mixed game (Big O and Stud hi/lo)

I got onto the 3/6 and 6/12 lists and while I waited hopped into a 2/4 limit Hold Em game to pass the time. In a few hours there I cleared a profit over $100. It was helpful to have some cooler spots in my favor (flop a flush when someone flops a set, flop a set and get a guy who called a raise with Q4 offsuit to spike two pair on the turn, etc)

What really kicked off the 2/4 session was when a guy waiting for a 2/5 game sat down on my immediate left, with a full rack of green $25 chips ($2,500). He proceeded to raise and bet every hand blind. I had :ah::kh: and flopped the nut flush and let him do my betting for me while multiple players were happily calling. I went for the check-raise on the turn, having snagged quite a few extra bets out of folks, and won a pretty sizeable pot for those stakes.

There was one grumpy lady from NJ on my right who started pissing and moaning about this action guy, complaining he was "ruining the table". He was great for the table, but she just wanted to be able to limp into every pot and see a flop.

I bought in for $400 and other players would make comments about my stack, or when new players sat down they'd say "oh, I can see who's winning here" and I'd tell them I actually bought in for $1,800 and I was getting killed, or that I had my entire net worth on the table. Here's my stack as I chipped up

I then got called for the 3/6 O8 table and yelled LOCK IT UP! and almost immediately after that they called the 6/12 O8 table, so went there instead.

Early on I ran well and the weaker players were flush with chips starting out so that helped, chipped up pretty nicely, at one point I was up over $300 for the session, and that was just on 6/12 pots, I couldn't win a kill pot at 12/24 to save my life unfortunately.

Midway through I hit a slump, one hand standing out in particular where I had :ac::2d::9c::qd: and flopped gold with a board of :4c::5h::tc:. I led the charge betting, knowing almost every card in the deck was in my favor, only to see the turn come :9s: and the river :ks: to destroy my dreams.

At one point my +$300 profit session had been whittled down to only +$80. Fortunately I managed to right the ship, flopping the wheel from the blinds with 7 players having seen the flop and scooping a nice pot, then another hand where I turned quad 3's and got paid off.

By the end of the session I managed to cash out +$220 which was a nice night. Had a nice lady sitting on my left who has been down in Florida since December with her husband, they're retired, she worked in casino security and had some cool stories to tell. I told her about this site since her and her husband travel all over playing in poker rooms, figured she'd be a great addition to the community. Here's some more chip pr0n
