So I know I am in the minority here but I prefer the design of my chips to not look like they came out of my local poker club or casino. Think Super Poker World (SPW), Tiki Kings, Metal Slug Outlaws, etc.

Thinking I eventually would like to participate in a SPW group buy but want to see what I am missing. Any pictures of your favorites would be appreciated.

I got a DDLM set for my sons and their friends, as an alternative to them using my Paulsons or CPCs.
Here’s an early photo, now it’s up to 1,400 chips and 60 plaques.

Ok, it ended up not being JUST for my sons. :ROFLMAO:

Well, for this, I’ve put my money where my mouth is with a Dia de los Muertos set from BR Pro Poker: https://brpropoker.com/collections/dia-de-los-muertos

This was my first level up from dice chips and we still get them in the mix today.

My only problem is bought before I knew more about good breakdowns and denominations, so if I had a do-over I would definitely change up my order - but not because of the art or quality!

Oh, I like them fine. They just strain my brain trying to figure out all the possibilities of what "The Ice Cardroom" could possibly mean. (And yeah, I've been to McMurdo... :cool )
I believe you! I meant the poker game I dealt, spent 9 months working and dealing, put it in a thread somewhere on here.

Nice, McMurdo has a crazy summer population. Ours was 40 max, cant imagine 1000 people on ice.

Travis McGee! I honestly think those books should be required reading for high school.
Agreed! I didn't know until we retired and moved down here that he lived nearby, waterfront on Siesta Key. A big place with one bedroom, and he kept a printed list of local hotels by his front door to hand out to "guests"...

Because many of the scrub donkey chips are a parody of chips we hold dear.
The Jack Ass is a nod to Jack Detroit. That $5 is a DDLM, the donkey and cane is WTHC, etc.
This scrub foal has a lot to learn.

Merely assumed that the chips were a collection of funny donkey pictures.

Forgot that this is the forum where people spend months debating inlays and chip progressions (myself included...)

Well played PCF, well played.
