Can I play too…??

New (to me) hotel in Austin. Prices are a bit spendy, but there are some value propositions in there (EHT Single Barrel, I’m looking at you). But I have $25 mandatory credit per day to spend….

My tongue was a little burnt from home made pizza the last time I tried this, so for science I redid it :)

Lot b > w12 >> old wsr > new wsr

They were all very similar on the initial palate, but the w12 and lot b had more depth and delicious cherried oak. The lot b’s finish surprised me, I’ve previously slandered it haha

Been meaning to try this one and I'm glad I finally grabbed one, first sip is quality, wonderful sweet and spicy mix. Crazy good value for the $45-$50 price tag. I'll definitely be heading back for backups....

I bought one of these a couple of months ago and haven't gotten around to opening it yet. Thanks for the reminder and the tasting notes.

Need to make some room for a few new ones I’m ordering shortlyView attachment 1459421This was a very good bottle. Their single pot still is even better!
I've passed over this bottle a number of times, will have to add it to the lost.

Same with these:

It's because I always stock up on these instead :)

I usually avoid posting tasting notes on a bottle until at least the second pour, but I got tons of sweet vanilla and caramel on this, with spicy but almost fruity rye notes. Really really well balanced, and it packs a punch for a wheater.
