So I have a pretty decent folding table. I want to put new vinyl on it.

My cat got at it...

And there a bit of wear and tear...

Do you think just vinyl over top will be good enough to hide the damaged areas?

How will it look and feel after?

Or do I pull the 1000+ staples and do it with the old vinyl removed?

Cheers

I would do a full replace. Yes it takes a ton more time. But you may feel the scuff marks through the whisper vinyl if you don’t.

Update.

I pulled all the old vinyl and replaced it.

Turns out I'm a shitty upholster-er.

I am going to need to pull much harder and make the curve much better.

Ordering another vinyl when I get home from my work trip... will also post some pics of my fail!

I don't want it to end up in the fugly thread

I had a buddy help me when I put my first rail on. Goes easier when one stretches the vinyl and the other staples.
