BB raises to 150, I call, button best pro lost a big pot recently, sitting on 1600 and reraises to 600

BB calls, I repot to 2450!

Pro stacks off, BB thinks for awhile but folds. We go twice, first flop jj7 and I win it

And serve has his manager for the cut of the revenue.

DANCE MONKEY, DANCE!

I cashed out and grabbed a meal ticket (I have 2 hours to return and I go top pf the list)

One of the kids at the table was going north. Cap is 5k and he had 4k in hundos plus snuck enough pumpkins in to have 10k in front of him

How much were you in for? I wouldn't get greedy if you doubled up.

stop calling him best pro if he’s punting with that

I still believe he's the most-skilled player in our small pond. However, no one is a robot (.....or are they????) and he's definitely not immune to tilt. He had lost a big pot (over 5k) to a guy who had the nut flush (he didn't show, but since he paid off he must've had the k-high I'm guessing). The player he was up against is a tricky LAG and they have significant history together.

Regardless, after that he was down to 1600 and he hadn't added on back to 5K (he always buys in max) so he was obviously on tilt and just felt like "fuck it, let's go!". His hand is obviously not good, but getting it in preflop allows him to have an equity situation that isn't a complete punt, especially with dead money in there from the guy caught in the middle

@Anthony Martino is this how you enter the casino?

Playas be hatin' when I sit down fo sho'!

Also update on today. I did well in the main game (which was the only 10/10/25 running when I left for dinner). When I got back a 2nd table was running, I got the last open seat. The game was not ideal. A couple of guys that were fairly weak, but the remaining 6 players at the table (inc myself) were all fairly competent, including a couple of pros with their faces buried in their phones and zero social skills, making the table not all that fun either.

One of the kids wound up bailing for the 10/10 NL Hold Em game and I wound up leaving shortly after as well, unfortunately having given back $300 of my profit on the day, but still +$1700 overall.

With massive lists on the 2/2/5 and 5/5/10 games and with the higher stakes game I had just left being a must-move table (i.e. I was going to be last at the table to move to the main game) I decided to take it home and lock up another win.

Tomorrow is a toss-up at the moment. Tropical Storm Fred is coming our way. Our yard is getting pretty flooded with all the rain we've gotten, and we'll be getting more tomorrow, so not sure what to expect yet.

Trackers show the storm further off the coast of the Tampa area than previously reported, so that's a positive. But won't really know until tomorrow if I'm going to be able to play or not.

Good luck and be safe.

I checked Fred about an hour ago, and it looks like it should be pretty far west, making landfall near the Alabama border.

I'm at the Casino, next for a seat in the 5/5/10 PLO and abouth 5th for 2/2/5

Also started a 10/10/25 list. Last flights of multiday tourney today chewing up real estate

Since I've started playing these bigger stakes I've noticed I have tightened up significantly OOP

Hands I might see flops with in 2/2/5 from the blinds facing a preflop raise turn into folds as the opponents are more aggressive, more likely to bet scare cards, etc

So far it's serving me well
