I went back to my former home city of Louisville, KY for a 4-day poker reunion this past weekend and while there made my second visit in 6 months to Moneymaker Social Poker Room. Just mentioning that set up to note that this isn’t a one-off review.

Here is my “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly” review now posted on Poker Atlas that I wanted to put out share as I’ve not seen a thorough and honest review on this room since it opened June 2024.

Also curious how other PCF members’ experiences match up with mine, and your additional comments and review notes (good, bad, or ugly) are encouraged here. I’ll try to tag a few of you from the Louisville/So. Indiana area at the bottom.

I still haven't been despite living 5 mins away. I've heard the tournaments are just OK (usually chop like 6-8 ways....slightly exaggerated but check their Facebook posts) and cash games aren't great, if they even get going. Glad I read about the bathroom situation before I tried out a tourney night.

Where the chip pictures at

They look like pretty standard no-mold ceramics typical of private venues, but possibly slugged as they are quite heavy (weight feels comparable to 13g dice chips). Slightly rounded edges. Obviously stack solidly, but I don’t shuffle so no comment there.

Here’s a not so good photo of my chip stack playing the 1/3 cash game and a few pulled from their FB feed as I’ve long since deleted my photo of their tourney chips from my phone.

One side shows their logo and the other is a QR code linked to their website.

Meh.

Cash:
White $1
Red $5
Green $25
Black $100
Purple $500 (rarely seen)
Dark Orange $1000 (I’ve never seen)

Tourney:
Black T100
Lavender T500
Light Orange T1000
Yellow T5000
Blue T25,000 (I’ve never seen)
Red T100,000 (I’ve. never seen)
