Maximum players at 1 table question (5 Viewers)

Played once 11-handed at a Casino Cashgame, with the Dealer of course 12 people sitting at a horrible small table. Wasn't fun, not exactly what you're looking for when going to a raked-game. But it was in the days, when Poker became popular in German Casinos for the first time and they didn't really understood what it takes to make a Pokerplayer happy. Well, actually they don't know by today, but it improves year by year.

Personally, I prefer 7-9 players on the table... No more for me...anymore too many issues... so I would run the 2 short handed tables before I would play at a table that's 10+ players... just too cramped, too slow, not getting to play enough hands, people start calling time, people start complaining about the people calling time, then beer/drinks involved play in on the time callers, etc... So...1 min limit on hands for my personal preference and then give 3 extra 1min. time extensions per player... there are always those big $ pots/hands that you have to have that little extra min. this way no hard feelings between players when other call time on them!

8 is preferable. Played a tight 11-player cash game and things got out of hand . . . pots were 80-100BB in size and one hand was over 200BB

Hi mesnik44,

In my home game we try to keep it to no more than 9, sometimes 10

but we already played at 11, no complaints from anyone :)

In my opinion, it's difficult for players to be more than 11 on a single table

Have fun !

My group normally sits 9 to a table, we'll add a tenth if needed but break to five and six if we have eleven.
