Lucky Hitler Cat Club MD-50 cash set (9 Viewers)

Okay, so bin wondering about DG Tiger. Think it's a gibbon for the $1 orange spot but it got me wondering about the $100 as well...

...or just leave well alone? ;)

Mocked up color is a guess
What is that edgespot called/named? Can't see it in CPC edgespot options. And what level?

4ds18/414 or something like that.

Level 7 or 8 can't quite remember.

I'm so helpful

It's level 5, same as 3TA316.

I call it the 1TA316. I think I may've invented it.

I asked David if CPC could punch the 3TA316 and reinsert the base color on two of the spot groups and he said yes, same amount of effort as 3TA316.

This principle should apply to all spot patterns I guess.

What are folks' preference on the secondary text fonts BTW?

Oh thought he meant the $100

Carry on.

We call that one "The Redbelly", don't we?

I can't remember the CPC name but I photoshopped it in on some of the mockups earlier on iirc

That is level 7 I think.

Weird that J5 is better at this than you. :p You have mad skillz tho, Toby, I'm jealous.

Top right by a MILE, sorry. I do that black inlay on both sides. I've no problem imagining the BCC was a real off-strip Vegas casino in the 60's.

J5 has begun work on the art.

Top left is my last effort, the rest are John's offerings:

There are some different 'THE', 'CLUB' and 'BORN TO GAMBOL' font options, with/without bleed, with/without outer ring.

I'm leaning towards no outer ring, since it takes up valuable space and the MD-50 already has tramlines...

Thoughts on fonts/bleed etc..?

Listen to your heart. It's saying "Paul is right, go with top second" ;)

I really like the top right but it reminds me of Cheshire cat.

But as with everything John does you can't go wrong with any of them.

Btw showed the wife she's LOVES the top right but mentioned removing the whiskers.

Chris! Not you as well!! ;)

Okay, I've John to take second and top right (with and without whiskers) through to the next round.

I'd like to see both versions in situ against the colours/spots as black inlay is something of a departure from what we've looked at thus far...

I also like the top right, it is very cool. My only concern would be when printed on the chip if you would lose the fact it is a cat. The designs elements are going to be small, print it out actual size and view at arms length to make sure the effect isn't lost.

Love the design these chips are going to be awesome!

A very good point! Will bear this in mind and use it as an excuse to go with the version @stocky and I like! ;)

My concern is that you're planning to go with the MD50 mold, which will only accomodate a small inlay, and since the MD50 mold already has a concentric circle, using another one in the inlay design may be overdoing it (and further reducing the available space for the actual image).

I'd go with one of the inlays without the concentric circles, and I personally really like the black cat in the dark idea :). That's even more menacing than the full head of a black cat.

Yeah this is the plan - no outer ring.

The designs going through to the next round do not have the outer ring.

I think they are surplus to requirements for the reasons you mention. :)

I like #2 (J5's cleaned up version of your submitted artwork), but....

I absolutely love the far right rendition. It is beyond cool. Some of John's best work ever, imo. Same image, both sides. Idiot if you don't do it. In fact, if you don't do it, I plan on stealing that exact design and have them made myself. Won't matter if J5 sues me, 'cuz I'll have 10,000 chips made and sell 8,000 here for enough profit to pay legal fees ~and~ be able to keep a large set for myself. Just do it.
