Lucky Hitler Cat Club MD-50 cash set (2 Viewers)

White inlays are fantastic work by J5, as usual. But incredibly, they pale in comparison to the black inlays. Both sides, please.

Excellent. Where is the sample set sign-up sheet?

I might need a US partner for sample sets.

Shipping to UK will be costly but it's the 20% import tax on combined order/shipping cost that's the killer. Plus the reshipping cost for US sample set purchasers...

What would that entail? receiving the sets and shipping them out? Small flat rate shipping boxes? I don't see why I couldn't help out if needed.

bubble mailers would be fine. small flat rate boxes would be overkill for a sample set.

most recent mock ups are outstanding!

I would be willing to reship the sample sets.

Thanks for the offers! Yeah, bubble mailers would be the way to go, with additional bubble wrap protection to keep the chips from rubbing against each other.

Not 100% on the logistics but imagine CPC invoice for the samples separately. Sample reshipper takes everyone's (PayPal) payments and settles up with CPC. Receives chips, bags 'em, ships 'em.

This is quite literally perfect. Excellent job

Ah, not quite! :) J5 has a couple of tweaks left. Nothing major, just a wee bit of rebalancing. Shouldn't be long now.

I've got chip levels and prices from David. Just need to work out my breakdown now. I'd go for 100s and 100s of each but need to keep an eye on budget! ;)

I'll do it :) it might cost more and you run the chance of me pulling ablackcar on everyone but the offers there.

I'll take 1400. o_O

200 x 25c
300 x $1
700 x $5
100 x $25
80 x $100
20 x $500

Suggested breakdown ;)

.25 x 100
$1 x 200
$5 x 600
$25 x 200
$100 x 80
$500 x 20

What games/stakes/players do you see these suppirting, Chris?

Thinking ahead, In the short term I'll not likely be playing more than a single table, 10 players.

Looking further ahead, prob two tables Max, 20 players.

Stakes-wise, looking at 25/25 up to 1/2, maybe 2/5.

Games, the UK has been HE centric, which I'm keen to move away from and introduce more variants:

PLO
SOHE
Super Hold'em
Razzaho
Big O

...and maybe a few others that are good HE 'gateway' games that will help my players be weaned off the HE teat. Open to suggestions! :)

Toby,

Those games and stakes sound great. You may want more $5's if doing a big 2/5 game. But for my $1/1 or .50/1 pot limit games for 2 tables the 1400 chip breakdown works well. You could get away with as few as 500 x $5 but it's nice to have more (my smallest set for that denom has 560).

The challenge imo are the lower denoms. Same games/stakes at both tables is one factor. If so, you need 2 racks of fracs. I've found 300 x $1 is a good number for two tables for most games, enough to avoid players making change and versatile amount for NL and PL games. Of course, if you're wanting to spread limit games you need a ton of $1's or deuces, at least a rack per player (or use a different set).

Taking the upper denoms next, my own bias is having fewer $25 chips (or 20's) because I find for rebuys I do a 2:1 or even 1:1 ratio with them and the hundos just to get both denoms on the table. So for two tables and those stakes a rack of each is great and pads the bank.

Lastly, fill in with as many $5's as you can handle. I would say 500 is the minimum. Sure, you can try less but stacks are not as satisfying and casino-like (for example, my md-50 hotstamps have 300 x $5, a bit short for one table and def frustrating for two tables, so I'm waiting for add-on of 300).

You may be able to get away with one rack of fracs but I think this breakdown is nice:

200 x .25
300 x $1
500 x $5
100 x $25
80 x $100
20 x $500

If you can get more $5's, that'd be nice.

If it were single table only, you could do this (but from experience, if the game grows, you'll be adding on to make the set work):

100 x .25
200 x $1
400 x $5
60 x $25
20 x $100
20 x $500

Awesome. Thanks, Chris!

It will be some time before we're playing 2/5. First we have to move (again!), have another baby, and wait for the dust to settle. Then I can start all over again, building a game!

Not gonna let all that get in the way of buying chips, tho. That'd be insane.
