These chips will use the bright color set for the base chip color, and the standard color set for the spots. It is not possible to mock this up exactly on the Matsui chip design tool, but I mocked up what looked closest to chip colors that I could, using the design tool. I have attached photos of the actual chip samples as well. These are the true colors (although they are tough to photograph, especially the bright orange).

I have attached the individual mock-up chips, in case you want to play around with them. Note that I can only attach 20 photos, so the purple $25 is attached to the next message in this thread.
ABOUT THE CHIPS
These are all 40mm chips. This mold has one of the squarest edges that they offer. The chips feel similar to Bud Jones V7s without the occasional suction effect.
Please see the "fine print" at the bottom of this post, regarding the square edges.
Labels will be laminated matte finish.
Chips come in Matsui chip racks. You'll get a chip rack for every 100 chips that you order.
The chips will be approximately 11g (the Horseshoe tourney chips were 13g -- so these cash chips wouldn't mix well with the tourney chips, just FYI)
It is possible that not all of the chips shown above will actually be ordered. Matsui has a per-chip minimum of 500 chips. If we are close on a particular chip, I'll see if I can get them to waive this. Also, there needs to be significant sign-on for each denom in order to produce it. Let's say there should be at least 800-1000 of each denom, or we should consider cutting it (as each denom incurs the $250 artwork fee). Let's see what the orders look like before setting any hard and fast rules about this. For now, let's assume that all 7 denoms will be made, and the cost will be spread across all chips.
PRICING
Base cost is $1.15 per chip (2 color - 40mm) and $1.21 per chip (3 color - 40mm), before any artwork fees, shipping costs, etc.
Matsui artwork fee is $1750. ($250 x 7)
Matsui mentioned discounting the artwork fee to $175 per denom if our order reaches 10,000 chips.
I have built that discount into the prices below, although that discount is no guarantee -- I'll update this if I get more information.
@MoscowRadio artwork fee: $150
Breakdown for the base cost plus artwork fee.
Wire Fee: $30
Shipping (Matsui to me): To be determined. This will not be insignificant -- can add up to $0.10 per chip, I think.
For planning purposes, assuming we hit the 10,000 chip mark, you should plan for the chips to be in the $1.45/chip neighborhood.
The Matsui artwork fee, inlay artwork fee, Wire fee to Matsui, and Shipping (Matsui to me) will be spread evenly across all orders.

I have received multiple assurances from Matsui that the edges on these chips will be square, not beveled. They said that they would put that guarantee in writing. If the chips arrived beveled, I will do everything in my power to make Matsui make it right. However, there is always chance that they won't. By ordering these chips, you agree to take this risk along with me. You will still be receiving the chips you purchased, no refunds by me. I have NO reason to believe that this is going to happen. But I am not willing to assume the risk for this entire group buy. If you participate, you are also participating in this risk.
