Cash. Could go to $700 depending on when you'd need payment.
I love this design. FYI, you can easily do a cash set with either design. Personally, I like the Vegas colors of the tournament set and if I bought these, I would do a cash set with the tournament chips. NCV chip for my quarter, and I love the yellow 20. For some reason Matsui doesn't have the option of a $20 cash chip. :(

I love that yellow as well (I am a Packers fan after all), and I can see how you could use it with other colors, but I do also love the progression of the cash set as it's configured. My 13 year old loves these chips. We have a sample set of the Matsui WSOP and they are his favorites. He just started playing poker. He just red Phil Gordon's Little Green Book of Poker. Also, I should have said 700 chips, not $700.

Without a .25 ring, or a $20 it’s tough.

Honestly, I would prefer they just used the Zen art and re-created those chips just using this awesome 43mm mold and style.

I wonder if it would be better to bite the bullet and purchase the .25 ring, or just put the denom in the inlay artwork. The reason I prefer it NOT on the inlay, is that I think the "mold" (chip face design) looks weird without the inner ring with text. Just my personal preference.

But if allowed to use the Zen artwork (wasn't there a one-time granting of art usage for the most recent group buy?), someone should absolutely run with it if there is demand, because the 43mm Matsui's FEEL GREAT!!!

I think so. It’s been discussed many times on various threads. The ring looks better but the cost is no joke.

Having a set of the Zens and having felt the 43mm Matsuis (Horseshoes), those 43mm are soooo much nicer.

I’ll ask about the Zen artwork. I would re-buy an entire set of those and the plaques I am working on if allowed.

I would like a set of Matsui 43mm. I like the artwork for this group buy, but if I could buy a set of the Zen chips, I would be over the moon.

At least the tourney set has a 20. Which we all know makes absolutely no sense. And having a non-denominated frac is really not that bad.

Team Tourney set for cash.

Different strokes, different folks. I am on team “not that”. :D Denominations or not, no partial for me. Particularly at $2.50/chip.

Although admittedly I don't know much about the chips needed for a STT so I might have to tweak things a bit if this ends up happening.

That looks like it should work well.

Starting stacks of 12 x T25, 12 x T100, 5 x T500 and 6 x T1000 gets you to T10K. Add on one or two T5K for T15K or T20K.

The 20 additional T1000 K are enough to color up the T25s and T100s.

10 additional T5K are enough to color up the T500, if you even need to do that.

Go for it!

Thanks for the feedback, that is super helpful!

What was the last quote you got for the .25 ring?

$3500 (I think, would have to go back and look. But that is the number I have stuck in my mind)
Yeesh. And then everyone who orders Matsuis ever after gets to use that. Ugh.

No, they don’t. They said they would write up paperwork that it was for our use only. They will even mail the ring to us if we wanted to ensure nobody else got to use it. But yeah, it is kind crap that they charge that for the ring. It’s not like it is a run that says “Little Timmy Casino and Porn Shop”.

They could use a frac ring!!!!

I wasn't around during the initial birth of this project, but I'm really surprised that there wasn't more interest. These look amazing!

I’ve never handled them, is there something special about them? Aren’t they ceramic?
I have a sample set of the 43mm WSOP from a group buy. I've never handled a regular size. They feel solid and a little powdery--though they don't look powdery at all. The colors are vibrant and sharp. I really would love a set of 43mm, but as far as handling goes, I still do prefer the feel and sound of clay. For me personally, I already own a set of clay and a set of Chipcos--a set of Matsui would complete my collection. They look and feel great, to me. And they just have so much versatility as far as appearance goes.

But, they have a $12.50 ring! What is that about?
