I thought I won the auction, but... (5 Viewers)

I've got nothing to hide. I tried to do what I thought was fair. I went out of my way to explain it to you via pm even though you didn't message me first.

Here's the rest of the messages.

  1. Hey Ken,

My original intent was that any bid that showed a time stamp of 2:30 or earlier would be valid not what Joe E said. Just like if I punch in at work at 8:30 and 45 seconds it still counts as being in at 8:30. I marked the thread as sold per Tommy's request which locked it I guess. Even though it would get me more money to reopen it up to both of you to bid between yourselves I've been thinking about it more and I'm just going to go with what I originally intended which was the 2:30 with no extension so I'm going to sell to Frank with his $1610 bid not his 1630 bid.

    Take care

    Dan

I just looked at the post again. Your post clearly says that the auctions ends AT 2:30. His bid was after 2:30. I believe this is truly unfair, especially after I had a chance to look at the exact language used.

If we go with that logic its possible that his bid came in exactly at 2:30 and zero seconds meaning his bid would still be valid by your reasoning. Our time stamps don't show seconds only the minute so we have no way of knowing for sure. My intent was any timestamp that came in as 2:30 or earlier would be valid otherwise I would have said 2:29 or earlier. I'm sorry you don't feel its fair but I'm going to stick with what my original intent was. I also did state that I reserved the right to end the auction meaning I could end the auction when I wanted to.

    Take care

    Dan

    Dan,

I can’t force you to do what you don’t want to do. You wanted to reopen it to bidding, and now decided no to. And I have a very logical, and one could argue accurate, assessment of who should have been the winner, and you are deciding to go with another party for whatever reason. I know if I offered you $50 more you would still go with Frank’s bid. So it’s not even about fairness, auctions, or money.

By the way you have the right to end the auction at anytime before the auction ends...but if there is a winner, it would be cancelling the win and not ending the auction.

Thanks...the first honest thing you've done all day today at PCF...

Just because you have a hard on for links doesn't mean he isn't making a mint off of this community right now

I bet I would be embarrassing close and you probably don't even want to look
You probably don’t even want to look? These things get so much less entertaining to read along with once one party turns into a 13 year old.

Th fact you choose to single out LINKS tells the entire chipping community you have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about :)

If you're so confident let's add up my time here and your time here and subtract your $$ made recently on the star chips and see who's actually contributed more per minute in this community. I bet I would be embarrassing close and you probably don't even want to look
Dude, way off here. Even though I'm still pissed he canceled hhis sample set and refunded the money I forgot about, you won't come close to winning this one

Yeah watching my mouth because I didn't know how sensitive everyone was here. Can't even believe anyone could be a successful poker player being so soft
Don’t worry. You’ve been here, what, six months? Lol. We know you’re a clueless n00b and your choice of target just makes it obvious. Come on back when you’ve got, say 10% of the cred that Links has.
Bye Felicia.

No hardon, but he has been an upstanding member of the chip community for 10+ years on here and the old site. Granted he is making some profit on these, but that’s up to buyers to pay that price.

you haven’t been around for that long and I think you are basing your opinion on this one recent event.

No my target means idgaf who it is. Tell him to post his price and his selling price and then flame me. I would never do that to anyone. Not even my little pocket holding sheep

now......back to regularly scheduled posts.

TY very much :p

You're absolutely right. This is the most accurate post I have seen yet

Lol right... except that I've been 100% transparent and owned up to my mistake of not using the forum auction rules immediately when it was brought to my attention in my auction thread. Right away I admitted my mistake in my auction thread when I saw Dan post up that I had forgotten to post it. Then very "dishonestly" I didn't accept the higher bids which would have made me more money. Then I "dishonestly" tried to be nice and messaged you to explain my reasoning even though you quote on quote" Said you were fine with whatever decision was made. Which lets be honest is total BS because you've been whining since then because the ruling didn't go in your favor. I even wrote out the long explanation in this thread explaining that if we had followed forum auction rules you still would have lost to Franks 2:39 bid explanation. Then I so dishonestly posted every single message from our PM's... So.... yeah... so dishonest lol.

To top it all of... according to your latest post in Links thread you don't even want the AS chips...
I was very serious. And these are great chips, and I have no intention of thread crapping as I might just come back and buy these myself, but ES chips are what I am really after.

Has nobody noticed that another set of the same chips has hit the classifieds? 20% more chips. Half the price. Available now.

Yes, I do prefer ES over AS, and especially the AS hotstamps. But I am still a legal and legitimate buyer and got screwed because of your arbitrary decision. If you go and read other posts, most agree that what you did was wrong, but do as it pleases you. This shows your oral and ethical standards.

And NO, you're 100% wrong. If we had followed the 5 minutes rule, I would not have stopped bidding...I only stopped bidding after Frank said there is no 5 minute rule. For evidence of how far I was willing to go with my bidding for these new chips, you have to just open your eyes and look at the ES chips that went for auction today. Again, all this shows you've selective hearing, memory, and bias selection and are ethically and morally bankrupt. So, go ahead and ship those chips to Frank.

And if you didn't notice, when a couple of people said in this thread that you should do 'the right thing', some people laughed...I guess they knew who you are and your reputation speaks for itself.

I want a hot stamped tourney set, but will wait until they are 'casino used' condition  :ROFLMAO:

I think you’re mixing up different chips and auctions.

Am I? Didn't this start over the auction for AS hot stamped tournament chips? On my screen there's a set of AS hot stamped tournament chips available now.

What am I missing. Starting to worry about my sanity now.

600 chips asking $2,500...vs. 500 chips that went for $1,610...the latter is much closer to what they should sell at present time

Yes, that’s correct. A 500 chip set that sold at action for $1610. There is a 600 chip set for sale for $2500.

Good thing I don't care what a few internet warriors think about me. Please keep posting though... this is really entertaining to see someone whine as much as you when they don't get their way. Honestly its gone so far I can't tell if your joking about all this or you really are that big of a baby. Seriously it's some clay chips. Put your big boy pants on and move on.

Eagerly awaiting your next crybaby attack at my "reputation" :ROFLMAO:.
