I forgot what thread I was in... I was thinking I was still in the Homegames thread. I'm thinking to myself, I don't recall Horseshoe Hammond chips coming to market. Then I remembered what thread I was reading and that those are LIVE!

Run it up!

What is the next level for you?

I’ve touched on this before but I think this is probably where I’m comfortable. In the 25-50 to 50-100 range. I don’t know if playing 1k-2k is in my best interests. I like playing competitive poker that’s not going to affect my life if I lose. I can buy in for a reasonable amount here and still have fun even if I get stacked.

My buddy was Byron right next to her. He cleared about 50k! Big night. Hopefully he comes back to blow it all in our game lol

It was actually really funny this is one of the perks of playing the big game in a room but the poker room manager came over and actually set up the stream on the TV in the private room for us! We were all watching him play while our game was going on.

congrats on the big night!

How many players in your game have large life rolls due to work, careers, etc., and just like those stakes for whatever reasons they have, versus players who built up from lower stakes to play at that level?

A number of us all came up together and move through the levels. Most of the professionals and myself actually. In fact most of the regulars have large roles and didn’t graduate the way we did. Probably why it’s hard for them to beat the game but it’s a steep learning curve at these stakes and so if you play long enough and you have the roll to stand some big initial losses you can pay for your education that way. I’m one of only a few regs to level the room.

Interesting read, and obv love the stack pics. What chip sets do you own? And what is your favorite?

You can see them in my media page I have a nice large custom home game set that I put together over the years and my tournaments that is a large Aurora star tournament set.

Those are cool! What were the purple and orange oversized chips originally?

The 500s were lucky derby oversize $500 chips and the orange pumpkins were some of the rarest chips out there. They were casino magic $1000 chips. To my knowledge I have the most in quantity (72) and there’s not even a rack of these in the wild it seems. I’ve searched forever to complete the rack.

What's the largest pot you've ever taken down?

I've taken down a 58k pot I think that's the largest but taken down some pots in that range. This particular pot was a fun one. I had about 22k effective opened two red 4s from UTG to 220 got three calls on from the BB one from the CO and one from the button. Flop is 475 rainbow. BB checks , I check CO bets 400. Button raises to 1400. BB Folds I flat and the CO calls as well. Turn is a 6 bringing a backdoor flush draw and I fill up. I check again CO bets 2400 BB Jams for about 20k. I over jam and CO thinks for awhile before calling for another 15k or so. CO flips over AA and Button has KK. We run it twice and I scoop. Pretty epic hand.
