I admit I can't be bothered to go find the timestamp, but I loved this interview, had it on in the background. The silly heads up poker is mostly a gimmick, but he does talk a lot about why he's a dick. Growing up, he came from a very competitive family and his siblings were the smarter/more athletic/whatever kids while he was very good at games. So his parents and family fed into that, and now most of his self worth is in games and making the right decision. Not saying he's right to feel or be that way, just offers explanation.
He's very annoying and tough to listen to, especially on streams with like multimillionaire streaming fish, very frustrating as he berates them. He's the poker brat and I'm sure he plays that up for the attention, but he's also incredibly insecure and uses poker decisions and outcomes to validate himself.

NO! Personally, I can't stand where we are as a society today, where it's not enough to win, but, that has to be followed up with intentionally trying to "show someone up" as they use to say. Guess I'm showing my age there using that terminology. I DO NOT subscribe to that school of thought. To the extent Robbi was taking her insults says more about her than Phil.
However, if anyone has ever brought it on themselves Phil has. No doubt he's gotten better than when he was younger, don't most of us, but, he's still a pompous ass. And, at times, I do get simple minded, so, seeing him get his ass handed to him just seems to make that little part of the world good for a minute.
There really shouldn't be any argument he's one of, if not, the best poker players in the world. Definitely a better tournament player than cash, but, still a great player.
He got lucky last night, had that last diamond not appeared, he would have been felted. At least that's how a non-Phil Hellmuth layman sees it.
So what? He's still an asshat who behaves like a spoiled child in public, with no regard for others.
You think Hitler will be remenbered for being a great motivational speaker? Nope, his other unsavory characteristics will define him in history.
Out of everything I wrote this is the one sentence you lock in on, and, to take it to a level of invoking Hitler? Will you please explain to me how you arrive to that statement? If you had actually read my post you would realize that I've said I don't personally like Phil's behavior and attitude. How on earth can you justify the statement you made? Seriously, how can you even try to justify that?
It’s always preferable for the people responsible for a problem to investigate themselves.

If you don't think it was a comparison then you don't understand what a comparison is. Period.
But part of the point for me was exposing that dude's hypocrisy. It was so easy to get him to resort to the same behavior he was denouncing in the first place. The irony is so delicious.
