Honest question, what's disingenuous about Tony G? Absolute asshole, yes, wouldn't want to spend time with the bully, but he seems pretty honest about being a rich prick.

I'll just add, that's a very genuine to me. He's like a kid playing a game that involves lying. Of course he lied, that's why that clip is so famous, he tells one of the best poker players of all time a lie and then Phil acts hurt when he realized it wasn't true.
Would we be discussing this if he said "if you go All-in I fold", and then he calls instead? Just feeling out what's being disingenuous and what is just playing a mischievous game.

For me Tony G is just an ultra-competitive guy. He's a good loser, but a bad winner, rubbing it in his opponents faces. Hellmuth is the opposite, a bad loser but a good winner.
They're like yin and yang I suppose. Tony G cracks me the fuck up, but I can understand how some wouldn't like him. Although I think, unlike Hellmuth, his antics and reactions are actually him in competitive mode, just releasing the beast that's inside when he plays poker.
With Hellmuth, sometimes he forces his antics because he believes it's expected of him and he wants to make sure he gets camera time and whatever sponsorship deals he can get.
So based on that, I'd say Tony G is more genuine than Hellmuth in that regard

A lot had been mentioned about Phil being an asshole, but, to me he's just more of an arrogant kind of guy than an actual asshole. Maybe we're splitting hairs, but, Phil is just more egotistical and thinner skinned than asshole. At least to me.

Not a very strong correlation, that word gets tossed around a lot. When did security become "heightened" and what were those measures? Lots of other variables, did stakes raise? Who was at the table?
Few weeks worth of downswing is bullshit stats. Is there a conflict of interest when the owner plays and picks the lineups? Sure, but thats not proof of Nick heightening security and then suffering because of it lol. This conspiracy was fun, but its dead.
