How old is everyone lol/ is poker doomed? (1 Viewer)

32. My group averages 30ish if I had to guess but we also have a 21 and 80 so it’s kinda all over the place. I’m in Pasadena MD, HMU if you wanna play!!!!

One thing that happens here on PCF is everyone looks at the date you joined and if it's less than a year (as in my case) everyone assumes you don't know shit about fuck. I've been patronized here multiple times simply based on the date I joined.

Go play casino O8 and you’ll feel 16 again. Average O8 player age is between 72 and dust.

@Old State is 97 years old and still plays. There is hope for all of us. Not much, but it’s there.
Haha, the irony is I’m younger, thinner, healthier, classier, better looking, more articulate, sociable, and smarter than you…which most in this forum could also claim.

The reality is that technology has drastically impacted the attention span of people. I’m shocked poker is still popular. Then again things like youth baseball are big in my area. My boys play it and are way into it. I always found that to be a boring sport…even when I played it in my youth.

But for most things they can’t pay attention more than a few minutes

That said…what will end up killing poker is cash no limit. There is a reason casinos didn’t offer it until after the Moneymaker boom. I’m shocked it didn’t kill the game within the first 10 years. We will see.

I’m not patronising you. I’m too busy thinking about much more important things you wouldn’t understand  :ROFLMAO:

Same age as Bellagio

It's not your join date. It's that you're from a place named "Macungie". In the remote area that we grew up calling "Pennsyltucky"...

I used to call it that too growing up in Astoria, NY and then BOOM!.....one day you wake up and you're a Pennsyltuckian :)

I got into this hobby at 44, and just turned 60.
Never too early or too late.

As long as one is obeying minimum gambling age when harvesting. Or one can use anyone legal to harvest on their behalf, like me when I was 12. My family member grabbed 1996 Mirage $1s and 2008 Bellagio $1 and $5 for me.

I was pretty pissed at Spinettis when they posted this. It’s bad enough having guys holding their phones up to their faces half the time, during a game. Now we want to permanently prop it up in front of them?
Worst poker invention ever.

Hi there. We sell all kinds of products. Everyone has a preference.

Disclaimer: We did not invent this.

It’s for a poker app. Everyone sits around and has virtual chips and cards displayed on their phone. Like pokerstars live

I was in the original pharaohs group buy over on chip talk . I was always hunting for new chips, bought a custom hot stamp set of TRKs right before they closed shop. Still remember corresponding with Dennis there about my set. Just like every other set I grew tired of it and sold it just like tens of thousands of other chips I bought and sold. I got divorced and played more casino poker, then lost our home game. I kind of played sporadically having a hard time finding a game- driving to Foxwoods got tiring, 2+ hours each way. Once a local card room opened I was able to play regularly again. I’d say the average age at a table is mid 50’s, the card room has about 8-15 tables going typically. They’re Paulsons, very boring paulsons.

I ended up selling just about all my chips, without a home game I found them useless. I still have a small custom ceramic set and a martini club BC tournament set… I think. I left them at Guinness’ house ten years ago along with a custom poker table… maybe they’re still there? Tim reminder 600 of that 1200 piece set were mine!

I am taking a break from poker for a bit, I posted about it and edited it once I sobered up.

I think I’m 51 still, might turn 52 later this month. I kind of don’t care.

I just turned 50. One of the games I play in ranges from 21 to 60. Another game is a bunch of 21 and 22 year olds. I got invited after talking to the host about a table he was selling. A couple of those young guys occasionally play in my other game. Poker seems to be alive and well.

I’m 21! Don’t feel young!
How was your 21st to Vegas?

Here’s mine from 4 years ago Vegas gamblin on the strip and downtown and arches. First I played $25 slot at Bellagio to test my luck, went well won on first spin.

Next day, I bought bunch of slot tokens from @Spinettis Gaming on downtown. Also playing coin slots at El Cortez.

I mainly played slots back then, should’ve grabbed a lot of CC THC $5s and $25s because I stayed there and didn’t harvest!! I regret I only brought back $1 tokens…
