I presume that everyone here is probably in their later 30's+. I'm 25, and I feel like a baby compared to everyone here lol. I know poker is a older dude's game, but I hope that I get to meet some more people in their 20's. I wish poker was more accessible to the general public if that meant that I could have a easier time finding folks my age. I doubt poker would die out with the latter generation, but I do wonder if poker's charm is attainable to the younger audience that It needs to be in public light. I remember seeing some twitch streamers playing with Hellmuth (he got so tilted haha), but that was it.

I don't know if *poker* is just for older people, but chip collecting probably is. It requires a significant amount of disposable income, and I just didn't have that when I was younger. Just started a home game. Age range was 25-50. Half the table was under 33. I don't know if that helps.

Well, I didn't mean to say that Poker is designed for older people, but I was trying to express that it makes sense that poker would have it's stay in older crowds (more disposable income, perhaps less work grind). Poker chip collecting for sure haha.

I'm in my early 50s, and my weekly game is all late 20s to mid 30s. I'm by far the old man of the group!

Like others have said, chip collecting skews older just because that's the demo that had more expendable income. But that doesn't mean you can't get into it younger or with less money. There are still plenty of great sets available for three figures.

I'm 34, but joined Chiptalk at like 17 or 18, I used to be one of the youngsters around here, but then people like @quintooo showed up...
I'd like to claim the youngest person on PCF title (24), but I think that goes to @PyroTeck now...

to @rainy_trails, personally I think poker is having a small revival amongst 20 somethings. Most of my local players are in their 20s to early 30s. Might be location dependent though.

I joined my regular group after they had been playing for a long time. I am the "baby" in my mid-40s, with a couple members in their 50s, and the rest in their 60s. None of them are chippers though, but they do appreciate the "upgrades" I've made to our game.

There are plenty of young members here. @Okku is in his early 20s (I believe), for instance.

This is silly. Poker is skewed towards 20s/30s/40s. Deep breaths, and presume less.

and if you're looking to watch some videos about casino history, collecting chips and/or what's going on in the chip community feel free to check my channel out. I'm trying to post as many videos on there as possible. I haven't been able to recently because I've been so busy with life, but trying to get back into the swing of things!

Funny thing is I go to all of the local SNCCC meetings, I'm by far the youngest in the room. Go to the CCA Convention and I'm still one of the youngest in the room. Everyone loves seeing me and seeing other collectors in the hobby. As far as poker goes, I know tons of younger guys that are playing.

I’m going to be 50 in September. Aging like a fine banana…

You guys really are old haha.

I’m 22
Joined when I was 19 and never gotten away lol

Regarding the future of poker, most of my friends love to play poker (and I’m making sure to nourish their gambling addiction) so no worries ;)
