How many chips do you shuffle

12-16, depending on the type of chip. I can do more but it seems like overkill. With 10 or fewer, I feel underdressed.

10 is perfect for me.

12, 14, or 16 depending on how broken in the chips are. Drives me nuts when I pick up an odd stack that I thought was even and start shuffling.

I’m right handed, but have been working on my lefty shuffling skillz. Getting there but not great. Anyone else ambidextrous?

I can't breathe underwater, but I can shuffle chips with either hand.

When I first learned to shuffle chips, it took me a while to learn with my right hand. I watched a youtube video, and worked on it for an hour or more before I could shuffle 8, maybe 10. Then I thought I'd move on to my left hand, thinking it would take even longer, but that came almost instantaneously. I figured it was because my brain already learned how to train a hand to shuffle chips.

I shuffle chips with my left hand about 90% of the time. While I'm in a game, I shuffle with my left, and bet with my right. When I'm sitting at my desk, I use the mouse with my right hand, so the stack of chips is in my left.

12-16 depending on the chips. Fewer for ceramics, more for clays.

Shuffle with my right hand, only with smaller chips I plan to eventually bet with. I rarely cut out bets from my stack. I shoot them in directly from my shuffle.

Lately my thing has been shuffling a stack into the top a a barrel. A little harder but it looks cooler.

I can shuffle as well with either hand. I'm right handed, but I'm far better at other chip tricks with my left hand. Odd.

Thanks to David O for adding the poll.

I can do 10 reliably, 12 about 80% of the time, i get a double at the top on most of the misses.

It really depends on how worn the chips are. If they have smoothed-down edges, I’ll try to shuffle as many as possible just for fun. If minty, usually 8-10.

But generally I don’t find more than a dozen too comfortable for a long session.

I want to meet some of these 20 "or more" people. What kind of Hulk-like hands do you have?

I agree with the idea that 12-16 is ideal, but I try and keep my shuffle stacks in 10 because they store away easily.

One, but that's not an option in your poll. We shuffling-challenged people deserve equal time!

To tell the truth, I usually spin it more than I shuffle it... :confused

10, but only if I'm NOT at a poker table. I never shuffle chips at a table simply because I feel like every swinging dick on the planet thinks they're cool by doing it. Every game I sit and watch the worst poker players in the world shuffle stacks of chips, and lose several hundred dollars...but man they look cool!

I do fidget when I play, so to take up the nervous energy I spin my card capper unless its in place then I spin or flip a chip.
