How many chips do you shuffle

I have to say, it’s always funny when you’re playing at a casino and there is some guy who is “shuffling” the chips by picking them up and letting them fall back down one by one.

You know, like the pros do on TV.

I’m right handed, but have been working on my lefty shuffling skillz. Getting there but not great. Anyone else ambidextrous?
It took me a while to figure out how to shuffle, but once that light clicked and I realized how easy it was, I said okay, lets try it left handed. It wasn't too hard to figure out, but I'm not 100% with it, so I won't do it in public.

One day I got moved to a table next to a kid who was doing that, but he was literally slamming the chips together. It was like he was trying to damage the chips. I think it's the most annoying thing I've ever seen at a poker table (and that's saying a lot.)

If I'm feeling it, 16. 4 piles of 4, shuffle 2 quarters together, then shuffle the two halves together.

If my finger dexterity isn't there that night, then I knock it down to 12 but do the same.

I like to shuffle with both hands. Anywhere from 6 to 24ish chips. If they’re minty chips then I prefer smaller stacks. I’ve just always loved shuffling chips. I don’t even think about it when I’m doing it.

On a good day, 16 or so. I always can tell when I’ve had enough to drink by the number of chips I can comfortably shuffle

20 mostly but the weird thing is I can only do it with my left hand. Weird because I'm right handed.

I've only been able to graduate from 10 to 12 after changing my stack to the Sunfly Union Station.

I do 12 whilst sitting around, driving and playing online for peanuts. While I play I do 10 so I throw out accurate raises and calls almost without looking. Who can do it with both hands? I can cuz I’m soooo cool.

16

Any more or less feels wrong. When I buy samples, I often have to buy a whole barrel. This leaves some extras in case one rolls away at work and I can't find it. :D

Ben can shuffle 20+ I can shuffle between 8 and 10, honestly usually 9 and not on purpose, just happens

Usually 10, sometimes 8. I’m in awe of people that can shuffle 20+, as that’s a superhuman power to me lol.

generally 10 - i have splitting and shuffling 10 chips completely committed to muscle memory. i like to buy even barrels for shuffle stacks, which allows me to split them for a stack at my home computer desk and a stack at my work desk. when i am actually playing, i will attempt whatever i can get my hands on, but i have very busy hands and there are lots of other fun things you can do with chips besides shuffle while you are playing like a total nit.

Do y’all try to shuffle two different colors with all of one color on top and then try to cycle it back to the same? Some chips stacks counts are easier than others

Approx 10-16. I usually just grab a stack and shuffle without exactly counting which means it could be an uneven number.

I also enjoy taking a stack of 16 breaking it to two stacks of 8, then taking one of the 8 stacks and breaking it to 2 stacks of 4 and then shuffling the 4 to 8 and the 8's to 16. That's fun!

Much easier to do than to explain lol

I can't breathe underwater, but I can shuffle chips with either hand.

When I first learned to shuffle chips, it took me a while to learn with my right hand. I watched a youtube video, and worked on it for an hour or more before I could shuffle 8, maybe 10. Then I thought I'd move on to my left hand, thinking it would take even longer, but that came almost instantaneously. I figured it was because my brain already learned how to train a hand to shuffle chips.

I shuffle chips with my left hand about 90% of the time. While I'm in a game, I shuffle with my left, and bet with my right. When I'm sitting at my desk, I use the mouse with my right hand, so the stack of chips is in my left.

Same here. I learned with my right, and then somehow my left knew what to do!
Impress the table with the two-hand simultaneous shuffle...

Oh, and as to the original question: My favorite is 12, with 10 coming in a close second and 14 if I'm trying to build my skillz.

10 is the perfect amount for my small hands, I can do more but 10 is comfortable.

I've usually said 12 is perfect. I'm great up to 16. I've done 20 a few times. But lately I've been shuffling 6 chips. Its fun.

For me depends on the feel of the chips. Sometimes I do 16 and other times 20. Some chips are just super buttery to shuffel, while others are like bricks. Just my opinion though

if the goal is the "maximum" i do 20... but definitly not comfortable at all or i need physiotherapy after some minutes ah ah better with 10-12 depends chips type

20, because it's a barrel.

I'm quite certain that if a barrel were 30 chips, I would justify it to myself somehow that that's the intended number of chips to shuffle.
