Do most People actually play with their Paulson chips or just collect them? (1 Viewer)

I play all my sets.

Having a set of chips and not playing them, and buying a sports car and not driving it, is like having a hot girlfriend and not banging her so you can save her for the next guy.
Everyone buys chips or sports cars for their pleasure, with their money so in the end they can do with them what they want.
Best. Analogy. Ever!

Imagine missing out on a game full of fish because they are playing cards mold chips! :ROFLMAO:

Our community is awesome! :ROFLMAO:

I play for competition to win. Not for the money. That’s why I don’t play stakes I can’t afford. I recently played at a game with lots of fish. Boring!!!!

How many people own that limit set but still haven’t hosted a limit game? How many people splurge for that 5-table tournament set just in case they decide to host a meat up?

Edit: that said I finally hosted with my limit set and realized the set is way too big and likely won’t be something I host often at all if ever afterwards lol.

And I do try to felt every single set I have. The tourney sets do sit more often that they should though. Probably should sell them but I’m an addict and chipping is fun.

I’ll play my grail set as soon as I meet some degenerates that don’t eat and drink at/on the poker table without even a napkin in sight. One set is UNTOUCHABLE! (For now.)

I’m with @upNdown . The majority of chest thumping replies here suggests everyone plays all their chips but I’m willing to bet that mindset is easily the minority of PCF. @TheRealTeddyKGB won’t let you shuffle your own chips that you have to bring on his table. And definitely none of his chips meticulously pictured.

@Kage Chip for yourself and what makes you happy. Don’t need validation from anyone else.

Chest thumping??? The guy asked if we played with our Paulsons and people answered. Period.

@DirtyTIVA is leaving off the fact that all my sets save 1 are lead free & too light for him! I have a rack of leaded bricks for your shuffling pleasure Karl, custom labeled (not made see what I did there) by Gear.

I want to get some Paulson chips new such as a secondary un-played set but am conflicted on if I should play with them or just hold them in awe lol.
Disclaimer: You don't need to read this sarcastic and inappropriate reply.

I wanted to get some Paulson chip too.

Then I started to think, god forbid.

I want some Bellagio 98 chips. From the time that the poker boom was getting started and the big name players were in Bobby's Room. Or maybe some high stakes mirage chip, where Mikey Mcd wanted to go play.

Well that's not gonna happen.

So ya, I can get some Paulson chip from some casino in buttfick nowhere. They're Paulson's, yo!

Then I started to think more, my downfall.

Casino buttfick nowhere probably didn't even have a poker room, but that's ok. Cause I'm sure there were a ton of degenerate gamblers that frequented casino buttfick knowhere and lost fortunes!!!! But that wasn't sustainable and the chip ended up on the chips rooms sales :(

After all my thoughts, for shame, I'm going for meaningful custom CPCs and I'm gonna felt them.

If you get Paulson's don't play with them, especially if you're alone.

I don't belong here.

Agree with the general point though: your money, do whatever you want with your chips (unless it’s hoarding them with the intention of flipping them in the future - then just GTFO please)

For me, it depends on who is playing in my game.
This. Haven’t hosted in a while, but I have one group of friends who either are currently/are about to be paid well to be reasonable and prudent. Another group of friends has a penchant for getting hit with the smoking fee at hotels (not because it smells, but because they burned the furniture)

You can guess who will play with the grail sets and who won’t lol

Over $20k invested

And in play for a $25 montly game of neighborhood dads that other than the host know nothing about chips!

And hitting the felt again tomorrow... why own them.if you don't play em?

Shuffle away... throw em in the pot, I have zero plans to ever sell.
