I'm creating a custom ceramic set for a friend, he's a firefighter so I'm going with that as a theme. This is a basic mockup of the design, I don't have great design skills so once I have the full idea I think I'm going to have a pro complete it. I'm pretty much set on the chip colors, yellow as a non-denom chip, blue as the $1, red as the $5 and green as the $25, but I'm open to changing the exact colors I have here. I'll also have a $100 chip but haven't gotten around to designing that one yet.

What I really need help with is the edgespots. The only one that I really like is the blue $1 chip (but I'm still open to making changes on this one). For all the chips I'd like to have one of the edgespot colors to match the color that's in the middle ( the faux-inlay ) and other edgespot color I'd like to match the color of the fire dpt crest on the chip.

The faux-inlay area will have a casino name and a simple logo on top of the color. Also I think the fire dpt crest needs a little white outline or something to make it pop, but I'll have a pro do that part of the design.

So what do you think? Any suggestions on color schemes? Thanks!

For the non-demon you should put a symbol there instead of leaving it empty. A fire hydrant or maybe two crossed axes? I like the way it's going so far.

Yes! I have a few designs but they didn't make it into this draft yet. I have a helmut, ladder, hydrant and axe for the 4 different sections

These are really cool! It looks like you used the darker edge spot color for the denom and crest on each, correct? The contrast is great on the 1 and ncv, but maybe use the lighter edge spot color for the 5 and 25?

Played around with some of the colors, I like some of it but I'm definitely not there yet. I don't love the blue on the red chip, and the accent colors on the green chip make me think of Mardi-Gras or The Joker, which I don't like. But I'm trying not to repeat colors. I'll probably end up with some combination of the first draft and this. I'm finding out that the process of making a custom chip is both fun & engaging and mind-numbing at the same time...

Always a fan of mint chocolate, what about light brown and dark brown with the green?

I'm starting to think that I'm overcomplicating it and making it more difficult for myself by trying to make one edgespot the crest color and the other edgespot the color in the middle. Painting myself into a corner with color options? I could just do one edgespot color the same as the crest and the middle color could be the same color as the chip.

Lock that second $5 up! I meaning towards the second NCV a s the First $1 and second $25 right now....I think you'll lose some color POP on printing though.
