Let’s hear some confessions & hot takes. I’ll start.

-Even after 2+ years of chipping, I’m still embarrassed of having all these pictures of poker chips on my phone. I will often post a pic on PCF then immediately delete it off my phone.

-Most custom sets (90+%), whether CPC, ABC ceramics, murder, relabel, etc. do nothing for me. I enjoy seeing everyone else’s designs and creativity, but very few actually make me want to create my own customs.

I’m always happy when someone completes a mixed TRK set even though I think most of them look like Frankenstein’s monster. Most of them don’t work well at all IMO as far as aesthetics are concerned.

Still have to applaud however because of the difficulty of finishing a set

I want to find loving homes for lonely clay chips longing to be put into play. It's kind of an obsession.

I love the chips I have (and have coming), but I’ve fallen out of love with them in general, and have no desire to purchase more anytime soon.

Generally speaking, I am no longer in the market for ex-casino chips, and likely only look to expand on what I already have or only do customs. Loving the creativity out there!

I really like the 39mm SunFly hybrids.

Also, I really like the 43mm Sunfly hybrids with the larger label. I may even prefer them to the ones with the smaller label.

The ridiculous prices for the rare and most desired Paulsons and the rift it's caused in the community has really dampened my passion for the hobby. It makes trying to build any kind of new set extremely difficult. Ultimately, it's why I'm going the CPC route to round out my collection.

I don’t like casino used chips.

I had a set of Paulson Pharaoh chips for cash but used dice chips for tournaments for several years.

Here's a hot take from a newb .... veterans chippers become much more friendly in DM once you have what they want.

I'll let you know in about 30+ more home games if my HSI chips get to the point I like playing with them.

For me, worn chips > new chips

There's a pandemic on...I haven't seen my friends in over a year. And yet I bought 4+ new sets during a time where it's illegal to have a poker game...

After 5+ years in chipping, I come to PCF out of pure habit. There's nothing I want to buy and there aren't a ton of conversations I want to engage in. The politics is toxic, the prices are batshit crazy, and there is a real streak of independence that has undermined the concept of community. Many of the folks who mentored me in this hobby contribute less and less, and if it weren't for the friendships I've made, I'd likely be fine stepping away completely. Sadly, chips just don't wind my clock like they used to.
