Best software to design and vectorize inlays? (1 Viewer)

I can’t install it on my work computer. I don’t know how any of these programs work. If AI would work also, then I’m fine with that too.

@Himewad I was new to Inkscape and found some tutorials on YouTube that really helped me understand what it does and how to do it.

Since Inkscape is free (https://inkscape.org/), it was a easy choice to install on my home computer which you should do now.

There are many different Inkscape tutorials.

TJFree has a playlist of videos which helped me understand the basic features:

I suggest you watch a couple videos at a time and then try to duplicate what is shown in the videos. Don't watch too many of the videos in one sitting as it will make your head spin given all of the features available. Plus, it is better to try them and see how they work.

There are other tutorials on YouTube... I just thought these would give you a quick start.

I think of it as kind of like a word processor but for drawing vector graphics instead of writing papers.
