Cheating allegations at Stones (5 Viewers)

Wow there's definitely some suspect things here. They need some proof though before they start speculating. Most of the speculation revolves around him folding good hands when it's not obvious he's beat or sticking on under hands where he has an unknown advantage. Hell you could accuse about any amateur poker player of this. I do the same stuff depending on how the night is going.

Did you guys see him tank call a river bet with a full house (8s full vs 10s full). If he folded it would have been too obvious he was cheating, but anyone would have shoved in that position.

The simple explanation is he can read minds.

I’ve always thought it’s theoretically plausible to get efficient tells from combination of pupils/pulse/breathing though

I mean maybe, but he never makes a big mistake. River shoving with 6/7 off suit when you only have a 7 high? He had to know no one else had anything at all.

@Legend5555 told me Neeme and Owen put out a video about it today. I am going to watch it at lunch to see if they have any insight. RFID hacking would probably be the only way for him to be cheating unless someone in the booth is sending him live signals.

I don't think there is any doubt he cheated given the evidence, but why anyone would cheat on a streamed broadcast is beyond me. The evidence here is damning and abundent. Also the fact that he doesn't play outside of these streams is also pretty telling. No one wins at this rate that doesn't play often and frequent.

I think he got some help from behind the scenes in some way. I just hope they get to the bottom of it and nail his ass to a wall.

My thought for how it would work was: someone sitting near the table or close enough to intercept the signal, and him and the other person working together in some way. Like a vibrating device in his pocket that the other person uses to let him know if he is ahead or behind.

Any of his individual plays is plausible on its own... Each one could be attributed to either a really ballsy move or a terrible play which happened to work out.

The problem that has been identified (by people going through *every single hand* he played on the stream, and several years of results) is that this guy never gets caught speeding.

He also always manages to get away from what would be a trap for almost anyone else (e.g, having the nut flush against a straight flush, or the wrong end of a set-over-set hand).

The low-percentage play, or bluff, or semi-bluff, is always successful. His win rate is insane.

And then there is the weirdness of him staring into his lap repeatedly on almost every hand.

I've read / heard cheating with some sort of RFID in the cards.
Does it means that by default casino cards has RFID on-board ? (which seems to me quite odd and unmanageable) or it means that someone rigged a deck of cards with RFID or .....other.... ?

What I know and happened recently, guys were caught playing with UV contact lenses and a rigged deck.

Any time he makes a really bizarre play, like the 88 vs. TT full house, he can just claim the RFID got his cards wrong. That is a thing that actually happens. Funny how it happens when he does something really weird though.

There was some discussion about this, in that if RFID was messed up, that card should be messed up for the entire session for any player, and that didn’t seem to be true. I think the technology is such that it’s super unlikely that a card would get incorrectly scanned in a one-off situation. And given the prevalence of RFID tracked events, what are the chances a mis-read card hasn’t ever come up on a live steam of the WSOP and caused confusion? Or Live at the Bike?

I read somewhere that moneymaker plays with him a lot in Tunica...do you not run into him there?

My understanding is Postle played at Tunica from 2003-2008. My guess is that's when the two crossed paths frequently. I haven't seen him once there in the last several years.

From what I've read so far about this, no one can find any hands where he pushes all in from behind or anything like that. He literally just makes perfect soul reads every time. I guess he plays with the same regs most of the time and could just have major tells on them, but it does seem highly suspect.

In a short sample size this might make sense, but it isn't. If you graphed his win rate next to everyone else his would be a massive outlier and he has only had like 2 losing sessions on stream ever. It just doesn't seem possible unless he has super human powers or is cheating.

The evidence against him is pretty alarming. What are your opinions of other players who always seem to be on the right side of coolers? I watch LATB and garret is a fan favorite and Im a fan also but is there any suspicions of him? I know two different scenarios but just asking for other perspective

Garret loses sooooo much money sometimes hero calling or trying to bluff when people have strong holdings. That never happens with Mike. Never.

I played with him on stream back in March, nothing overtly obvious, but over a relatively large sample size his play is incredibly suspicious. If he relies so much on feel and live reads, it’s based off of staring into his lap and not closely watching other players in the hand.

2 hands I played w/ Postle onstream.
He 4b shoves from $20 straddle with JJ vs specifically AK and my utg AQs (I’m fairly tight solid), AK 3better was NITTY. Only big pot I’ve seen him lose where he got it in pretty good vs overcards blocking each other’s outs.

I flop trips over trips and he c-c, c-c, min raises my river tiny induce bet, acts “shocked” when I turn my hand over.

Why does he he have 1 hand in his lap at all times too? Everybody else has both hands above the rail while his stays in his lap the entire time.
He’s got his phone in his lap on every stream, not on the rail like 90% of players. Not sure what he’s so intently watching in the middle of $5k pots that he’s involved in, but it’s suspicious at best

If he was using his phone to cheat everyone would see it I assume. Unless it's cryptic somehow
My guess is that if he were cheating it would either be in the form of text messages or the stream in real time aka 30min ahead of everyone else. Neither of which would be particularly obvious to a casual observer

He's probably browsing a list of hookers, deciding which one he's going to see with everyone's money  :ROFLMAO:

If it is determined he somehow was getting access to the live RFID signal I would expect this to potentially have major consequences for live televised poker with cards. Who will want to play at a table with a card reader if there is any chance someone could be getting this info?
