It’s that time of year here again, we’ve had a wet year (think Pacific Northwest) and the mushrooms are blowing up everywhere! Here’s some pics from yesterday and today.

The chanterelles are huge this year! Some like a head of broccoli! The boletes haven’t started yet but it’s looking good for some large ones!

We got them for a while. These showed up in about 2 days.

Looks like the remnants of a fairy ring. When conditions are right one mushroom will drop its spores in a perfect circle under it. This continues through generations and the “ring” grows because they keep dropping spores in a circle. The edges grow new mushrooms while the older center mushrooms die

I thought I myco on a search with my friends, but I was toadstool stay home because there wasn’t mushroom in the car. I guess they don’t think I’m a fungi.

And other puns.

Any cooked pics?
Haha no, I typically don’t eat them. I just like foraging, keeping those Y2K skills sharp. Or whatever civilization ending hysteria that is currently gripping the world this news cycle.
