But they don’t “hold their value” so you only make 5x your money onceSelling dice chips at 15c a piece not inclusive of shipping while buying at 3c from China - that’s basically the business model of people selling dice chips on eBay. And I’m pretty sure they make more on it than most people buying/selling Paulson chips.
If you already have the apparatus to sell stuff fast/efficiently I’d say it isn’t a bad skew to add to your store.
This is all about ROI. Is it a monetary investment you are seeking? Look in to crypto or a mutual fund. Buying poker chips to earn a profit is a weird proposition, because you don't make shit until you sell it.Paulsons will hold and gain in value in most cases. If you buy one barrell of five colors no one actually uses in a poker game its tough. Paulsons are the best chip for any game. The rubiks cube was overrated. Blockbuster video was overrated. AOL was overrated. There is zero evidence that Paulson chips are overrated and i have some unused paulson pharos chips to prove it. If at some point demand dwindles or we stop using poker chips due to technology making poker chips overall obsolete then you can say paulsons are overrated but this poker chip usually holds its value or even gains in value wheras all of these other sets (not all but most) will simply lose value. China clay are cheap and offsized with stickers falling off I definitely dont see this chip ever gaining iin value i think in most cases they will lose value. Ceramics are value losers and a lot of them look very bad and worn out pretty quickly. Paulsons are an investment that will hold or gain in worth and china clay and ceramics will most likely lose value. Not overrated - not at this point in time anyway. You can be price gauged and may not recover the investment but thats just poor buying practice. For a big game i think you should try to have the best chip.

And bingo was his name-oSo many members are over focused on Paulson THC...while what they are selling now is not much in common with the product they based their name & fame on.
While current offerings do have nice colors & spot patterns, when the scale says 8.5 gr i'm not over the moon....
Plenty of members may consider RHC a cheap mold & product...but they do offer a great alternative for building affordable Paulson (custom) sets.
I still prefer (mint) leaded RHC over ANY non leaded THC set/chip by a mile...not even taken price in consideration.
When I do...it's not even in the same league
BCC was where the value was...if you were willing to chase the perfect set, you got rewarded a keeper set for cheap.
No more nowadays...can't image how long they stayed under the radar due to the Paulson rush.
I've capped my 'want to spend on a set' threshold on 3/chip (average on the set) years ago and got rid of most of the 'expensive' stuff (my cost, not market value). I was just not at ease with 3K in chips for a quarter game with friends that don't give a fuck about chips.
They just want to gamble, have a good time... and splash some pots.
And while I love to get the PCA's out...that's not going to happen unless a full PCF table comes to play.
You don't serve a Mouton Rothschild '87 to an alcoholic after two bottles of eau de cologne
I do have an occasional game with players that enjoy the chips and know how to handle them...they get to play most of the sets.
I would not compare casino used JACKS to a LamborghiniI bought a Lamborghini and honestly I’m disappointed. Thinking of going back to my old Kia Sportage
I would not compare casino used JACKS to a Lamborghini
As much as I wanna troll the living hell out of this....
Nothing is overrated. Nothing is underrated. Every single person has a different opinion and love for this hobby, from CIC to Leaded to those little interlocking crappy chips we all had. There is a custom dice chip set for Fs sake.
In the end, let's just hope everyone finds a few gems they love forever. If it's shit, but it makes them happy, then the goal was reached.
We get stuck here with bigger opinions on such a artistic thing as chips. We sometimes forget that art is art. It'll be subjective. And if it's not your cup of tea, then full someone else's cup. Chips are also drastically different from set to set. I hate RHCs and the Crystal Park set I have will prob never be sold.
You might not click with the Jacks, but just because ya might dislike a flavor of ice cream, it doesn't mean you should hate all the ice cream.... try a different flavor.... Mold.... Maker.... Type....
Try a old flavor again sometimes. Sometimes it's better then second time around.
That's MY gif.
I drive a Ford.
Now I have to sell the Lambo!! A Lambo is in no way a comparison to the never a casino almost a fantasy nagb chipsDice chips would be a moped and the used jacks a Nissan with 30k miles. The lambo would be one of the Nagb sets.
Ford AND electricMoi, aussi. But at least it's electric.
Yah the house mold looks and from the consensus here feels awful.
The issue with CPC And people spending $300 a rack then waiting nine months like ok cool story bro. I’ll never order CPC chips. I’d do China clay or cards mold ceramics first.
My limit on CPC would be like $1 over the cost of China clay or ceramics
Sorry not sorry
LOFLWhiners like you are why Paulson no longer sells to the general public.
The heck you come on here and try pick a fight lol…The reason CPC takes nine months is because they need to take care of their casino clients first before they can move on to the consumer orders.
Whiners like you are why Paulson no longer sells to the general public.

Have they been rated yet?>Are Paulsons overrated?
Depends. For example, the RPCs certainly are.
