I came across this memory on my Facebook feed:
It was put on by the local Lions Club. $50 buy-in, plus a new toy. Paid out 60%, the rest went to Toys-for-Tots. Folding tables and dice chips (I had never experienced anything else, at this point). I ended up taking 2nd place out of somewhere about 30. Nice Christmas bonus!
Coincidentally, there's another one tonight, but unfortunately, I have to miss it.
