Cheating allegations at Stones (4 Viewers)

If it is determined he somehow was getting access to the live RFID signal I would expect this to potentially have major consequences for live televised poker with cards. Who will want to play at a table with a card reader if there is any chance someone could be getting this info?
It's bad either way. If he wasn't cheating everyone is bashing him for being a poker God. If he was cheating a lot of people are going to feel ripped off. The casino that claimed their own investigation came up empty would be hard to trust again, and yes people would be afraid to play with rfid tables unless security measures are taken somehow.

I was supposed to have a seat in a streamed meetup game this Friday, I’m not really concerned about playing in the room or onstream unless Postle is playing (won $700 last stream with him on my right  :ROFLMAO:), but I have to imagine it’s going to affect the reputation of the room/staff (who I know and respect) for a while either way.

Playing their $100k guarantee tourney Friday though, hoping for a nice overlay lol

edit: just saw this tweet

Yeah you have 1st hand knowledge of him. I watched your entire episode and you played well. Apparently he is a killer there and plays a lot of trash hands. It does make me wonder now for sure. Will be interesting how this concludes.

Stones should also just change when they decide to put up the episode. Right after the session or the next day etc. for example. Still cool to watch.

When the content goes up doesn't matter if he is somehow intercepting the RFID signal going to the commentators booth. More than likely someone is feeding him the info, in which case keeping the data locked up until after the game has been played out may help.

I played with him on stream back in March, nothing overtly obvious, but over a relatively large sample size his play is incredibly suspicious. If he relies so much on feel and live reads, it’s based off of staring into his lap and not closely watching other players in the hand.

2 hands I played w/ Postle onstream.
He 4b shoves from $20 straddle with JJ vs specifically AK and my utg AQs (I’m fairly tight solid), AK 3better was NITTY. Only big pot I’ve seen him lose where he got it in pretty good vs overcards blocking each other’s outs.

I flop trips over trips and he c-c, c-c, min raises my river tiny induce bet, acts “shocked” when I turn my hand over.
Damn looking back at this I wish you made a pot size bet on the river. Would be interesting what he would do. I assume just call to save face. How he doesn't ck raise you on the turn is unreal also. And he was looking at his dick before the hand like he was amazed he has one.

Very true. Looks like an inside job.

Guess they would have to have just one person in charge of it and do commentary after. But not sure that would work either. But it could heighten the overall security of the game.

Doug Polk’s video from today is pretty damning. The dude is always staring at his phone on his crotch right before making the crazy plays. And his RFID error defense for some of the hands is bullshit.

Incredible win rate over decent sample + insane lines + always staring at a device + provably false defense = cheater

Yeah in retrospect I think an overbet is a great play there. In no world did I ever think a crazy action player is check calling three streets with a Jack there, I assumed he either had a pair bluff catching or was boated up slow playing (like a dumb ref would) I thought my $25 block bet on the river might get him to spaz out and shove or check raise big which I was going to snap off, his min check raise was just bizarre. I mean if he was in fact cheating, he can never fold a Jack as it looks way too suspicious so he has to check call anything and he can defend himself and say he raised the river (losing $25 lol). I should have jammed over his min raise I just was cracking up and not sure what to make of anything

Wow amazing video.

The chances of him not being a cheater is absolutely zero.

Not only is he guaranteed cheating, all the commentators and Stones itself is in on this as well. There needs to be some criminal charges.

My only question is why did it take this long for people to realize how cosmically impossible it is for one guy to win like this.

Sweet!!! Stones is going to be found in collusion and lose their license which means.....more chips for us. However buyer beware these chips are certainly RADIOACTIVE you do not want to touch them.
No no no, stones is a fantastic room, Best outside of Vegas in my (and a lot of others’ opionion) great action, great chips, great dealers and staff. I really hope and strongly suspect that this was a 2-3 man team max who managed to infiltrate/hack the system. I’m friends with a few of the commentators who were some of the first to allege that there was something off all the way back in March. Whoever looked into it was either incompetent or in on it - I suspect the former.

Sorry @kmccormick100 I know you frequent the location and I’m sure the people are great. Only a few are probably involved (have to keep something like this super on the DL). But from a marketing standpoint they should probably rebrand to distance themselves from this issue especially with the “investigation”.

My comment was in jest but the publicity from this is not good optics. So yeah maybe they have to rebrand which should keep most things the way they are, just removing the link between this issue and them.

Plus the chips are awesome IMO so yeah I can dream about owning some. :)

@kmccormick100 i didn’t watch your videos. It doesn’t appear that you got fleeced but you were the first person I thought of when I started looking at all the posts and videos.

I’d also be thinking there are going to be players refunded if an actual investigation happens.

latest speculation on 2+2 is that one of the commentators, Justin Kuraitis, is in on it, mostly based on the observation that whenever Justin is commentating Mike is *not* in god mode. and a few other, similarly circumstantial, observations.

and based on some pictures showing padding on the sides of his hat he may have something like this:

Justin’s the tourney/poker director in the room there. Nice guy, would really suck if he’s complicit in this. But he has access to the production booth during the entire stream...and I’m sure a few $K here and there wouldn’t hurt for a poker room manager.

I think we are asking the wrong questions now. If someone on the inside is this easily corrupted for a "few $k here and there" why haven't we convinced them to order chips for us, for a lot more $ks, Kyle....?

Surely we can make Justin more money than he and Mike can make at 1/3 and 5/5.

I don’t think it’s a device... I think some one with the production was in on it and texting him hands from the house RFID feed. Stones “investigated” cheating earlier this year, found no wrongdoing by anyone, but banned phones at the tables as a result. Apparently the new rule was loosely enforced, or not enforced at all.

Now look at the Stones Tweets...

One day they are calling the new cheating allegations a “fabrication,” the next day they are shutting down live streams. I’m guessing the first tweet was from a floor manager who was in on the scheme. Second tweet was likely pushed out by upper management who finally caught wind of the scam, and decided to bring in independent investigators.

This is felony fraud. Some people are going to be seriously fucked. And Postle is on the line for all the money he took illegally.

Also...

Joey Ingram found a day when Postle ran normally and took losses. June 17.

He Tweeted out asking if anyone knew about any staff or production team members calling in sick that day. I think he was joking, but some one responded that the floor manager was gone that week for an industry event in Vegas.

This is definitely looking like an inside job.

Justin/JFK their tourney/poker director was in Vegas for a few weeks of the series, I ran into him at the Big50 where he was one of the floors. That defintiely doesn’t look great, I want to believe it was one of the production techs involved if anyone, but idk now.
