People should realize that a lot of opinions on
NAGB chips go well beyond the clay and inlay/hot-stamps themselves, whether positive or negative.
Love or hate the organizer? Are y'all friends? Hate that you were spurned or shut-out despite thinking you deserved more? Were you part of the (NA)GB in design, opinion, or monetarily? Is your public opinion going to help/hurt your investment, so you share it accordingly? Were you part of the IPO and feel like you are with the "in group"? Are you angry how the sales were conducted? Do you appreciate how sales were conducted? Were you sold chips for Price X and found out they went cheaper at Price Y to someone else? Is it your 'time of the month'? Are the chips out of your budget and you have FOMO? Are you mad someone bringing chips to the market devalued yours? Do you hate that someone else is making money off of other chippers (despite a completely voluntary transaction)? And so on and so forth.
*I'm not accusing anyone specifically of being biased in any respects, but "you had to be there" at the reveals to understand there is more at play than the clay.* Things are tame now, but there was a ton of vitriol with the original boat chips, some personal sets that got axed due to people reporting to GPI,
RPC, and Tigers. The fact is, like
@Tonysquander said, you can ignore much of the conversation(s) and see how the market ultimately dictates the real sentiment on
NAGB chips
(assuming genuine sale posts - although Windwalker is gone so less of a conern). Post is more of an FYI to the newer members than anything.
