I haven't seen anyone on here review these John Wick themed Poker set from Pirate Gold Poker for $350 - So here is my review. (And first official post (I'm new :cool ))

Carrying Case
Included is a carrying Case with 50 Metal Gold Coins, 250 Clay Composite Chips. Accessories include Red & Black Themed Decks (Too hard to read for a actual game)
Small & Big Blind
Dealer Button
Collector Card

Qty ----- (Color) Denomination
50 - (Gold Metal) N/A
50 - (Purple) 20
50 - (White) 10
75 - (Red) 5
75 - (Black) 1

300 Chips
total divided by $350 = $1.16 per chip
(But that price is including all of the accessories too.)
In my photo, you can hold up to 4 decks in the slots.

I like doing tournament style games with this set, everyone loves it. And its true the quality, looks, and feel of the chips is actually good ngl.
The Chips -
The metal chips work in this set, it doesnt feel off and it makes it feel like the most valualbe chip is the set, which it is. There is no denomination on the chip so we have been playing with the gold chips as 50 value, but maybe 100 value would work better.
Chip Set

The two bottom gold chips show the wear of the gold paint coming off, but over all I'm digging them.
Other Side of the Metal Gold chips

On the Clay Composite chips, they feel great, nice and smooth, stack nicely. The Stickers are hard to notice and have a nice raised embossed gloss that give them a nice feel and doesnt effect its stacking.

The colors stand out and if you look closely the numbered background color is the next denomination color.

Outside of the case

Overall, I'd give the whole set a 9/10
The price is high per chip but, it seems like they put in some effort with this one. Compared with anything else on the market right now, this is the best set you can buy.

I've bought a lot of chips to try from apachepoker, BRpoker, amazon, and no one offers a chip like this. I wish I could buy just the chips for cheaper than having to buy the whole travel set again. I'm new btw again and have only been playing for 5 months now, but I really enjoy poker chips, and collecting things. I'm looking to get my first set of paulson's soon.

You take the blue pill the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes...

Lmao bro just tell me your opinion...
Imo these are glorified dice chips with a horrible denomination break down.

It sounds like you're just getting into this hobby so my advice is to play with what you have for now, save as much money as possible & be patient while you learn how many options you actually have here.

There are also dozens of members in our area and lots of games. Feel free to reach out to me or any one of us when you get Personal Message privileges.

Hey, well might be true, but not the worst from the stuff on amazon. I'm getting a qoute from Alibaba to so how much it would cost to get those same chips made. I want to see how much extra they are over charging. Thank you, I might be joining a upcoming home game soon.

Wait you forgot to tell us how awesome the PayPal is when you post your review of them somewhere new!
Lmk when you find that link so I can claim some free moneys. But no, im not working with those nerds, their purchase page is filled with lame "Hurry up and buy now!" And I fell for it, but its not a terrible set compared to other travel sets. But I could have gotten a set of 1,000 Monte Carlo chips for like $230 on amazon. Nice Ginkgo leaf pfp

No need to do that. "Clay composite" is a marketing term for metal slugged ABS chips. These should cost exactly the same as the Monte Carlo's you said you can get for 23c each on Amazon, so they are overcharging by nearly $1 per chip.

Ahh I did not know that, Ive always thought it was a different material, good tip.

Determine your budget. Then find a set and run away and don’t look back.

Alternatively, get samples of a variety of chips (might cost you a couple hundred depending on what you choose), reassess your budget, find a set and run away. Save yourself from this place and the curse it sets on those who dwell!

On this particular set, you’re paying a markup for the branding. Like others said, denomination and breakdown are not ideal. If playing .25/.50 with 200BB, you don’t need many chips to begin with. 100-200 quarters, 200x $1s, 200+ $5s and maybe a barrel+ of high denom ($20, $25 or $100).

Dude, you’ve come into a competition bbq meetup and have been extolling the virtues of a Kroger rotisserie chicken.

I’m truly surprised how polite everyone has been so far!
More like a Swanson’s microwave chicken dinner. Now with real “meat like” substances.

Meh, this is a very, very niche hobby. I'd guess that 80-90% of home poker players see the cost of plastic slug chips and think "$200 for a poker set?!"...but little do they know...

I think a lot of newcomers are very genuine and just don't know what's out there because again, it's very niche. Hell, I can search the internet for details on very popular chips, and nothing comes up, like they just don't exist. The only way to learn about them is to dig in here or other similar sites (which can take a minute) or learn from someone else directly.

It looks like OP is just learning, and if he keeps going, he will soon realize his 9/10 rating was very generous lol

Exactly, thank you for this lmao. Especially with Classic Poker Chips still on their 2 year vacation, no one actually makes or sells true clays. Its impossible to find a quality chip without buying from a market place like this or having to resort to amazon/chinese knock-offs. And I'll update yall when I get my 1,000x hotstamps RHC's in the mail soon.

I saw that hot stamp set you picked up. Very nice. Solids are underrated!!

However, you are about to enter the dark side. Paulsons, they get you every time…

The step up from Walmart plastic interlocking to "dice" chips is huge. I was proud to put them on the table.

Then I found customizable composite chips from NextGen, (a little) more expensive but a major upgrade. I ran with these for several years.

One lucky day I found my first vintage Paulson chip set for $600. Wowsers! What a luxury.

These days, I play with larger sets of even more expensive chips. Sure, my players notice. But none of the other games I play in use chips even as good as my old NestGens with custom stickers.

Truth is. the quality upgrade got less and less with each step. I could have stopped with my NextGens - likely would have if a) I gotten lucky bees and b) hadn't stumbled across Chip Talk. Same thing if I made less money or had other expensive hobbies.

OP's chips are better than fine compared to the standard chips most people use. They aren't something many of us would even consider using.

Enjoy your set. Just know there are ever more luxurious chips out there. Not needed, but very seductive.

Painfully true, especially with the diminishing returns on every incremental dollar you spend. It doesn't feel that way to me of course, but when observant non-chipper friends have trouble appreciating the differences I get a rare flash of insight into the nonsense I'm getting myself into with this hobby.

Keep an eye out for The Chip Rooms black Friday sale. A couple years ago, I got a set of Tachi Palace, used Paulson's for less per chip than what you paid for the John Wick's.
