My "travel set" of chips are from The Mint by Claysmith. I love the brown 25 cent chips and white $1 chips, so I bought some of the $5 red chips to add to the set. Unfortunately the red is very dark and in low-to-moderate light looks brown. Attached are some pics comparing the 25 cents to the $5 chips. In person, the colors are even closer together.
Is there a way to get the old version of the $5 chips that aren't as dark? Alternatively, does anyone have any suggestions for a $5 chip that would fit in with my Mint set? Would want the chips to feel the same (13.5 grams, ABS metal insert). It sucks that such a beautiful looking chip set is ruined by the color of the $5s.
