Dammit if I keep playing around with this set I might have to buy it too. I'm beginning to think this Chipmatic thing is a sinister plot...

Just following along here ...

Liking the different edge-spot patterns on the cash chips.
Liking the colour contrasts on the tournie chips.
Mad J drop shadow on the cash chips a bit heavy imo - lighten the grey and halve the offset .. imo again of course.

But mostly here to say that this thread exemplifies the importance of being patient and taking even the smallest amount of time to take on board comments and suggestions from the PCF hive. A week, say, is a really short time in the big scheme of things and can make such a difference.

Looking forward to see the final versions.

Agreed. That drop shadow is going to go almost black when printed.

Yeah, obviously the whole thing looks a lot sharper on the source files. It's one of those things where I'm just playing around and it looks cool in the moment but probably not thinking enough about how it's really going to come out on a 24 mm label. That's okay it's a learning process and these are all good things to know, and I appreciate the feedback.

Came to the conclusion that the little embellishments I had on the logo and lettering (subtle 3D effect, drop shadows, etc), while they look cool on a monitor at 1920x1080, aren't really going to be evident on a 24mm label. So I dropped all that stuff, but added a gradient to the background to try to still give it some flair. Again it's something that looks more evident on the source file, and even in Chipmatic, than it does when converted to the "gallery image" seen here.

Definitely welcome some feedback on how the gradients will print from someone more experienced. Looking through the predesigned chips in the group buy thread most of the inlays are solid background but there are a few with gradients (e.g. Starnite, Pioneer Club) so I'm hopeful. But all advice gratefully welcomed!

So, my browser was acting wonky the other day on another site and I ended up having to clear the cache/history to get it to work again, not even thinking about the fact that I would lose my existing Chipmatic designs. Fortunately, the label art is in another file, so I just had to reconstruct the chips/edge spots. I think I got close enough and based on what I'm learning about this process subtle differences here aren't going to matter much on the physical chips anyway. Didn't rebuild the cash set but again I still have the label files and could restore that set later if I decide to get it made.

Did some more tweaking on the label gradients and while I was at it, I mocked up some concepts for a 25K chip, although really just playing around as I'm not sure I'll need that. I do like the maroon-ish one though. Probably to the point where should just lock it and place the order otherwise I could be tweaking forever.

Oh no! Sorry you lost the designs :/ I think the latest iteration looks great, btw. I just released a feature to allow importing/exporting of the chip configurations, so you can use that next time you need to clear your browser data or if you ever want to make a backup.

FYI this is the final set (seriously!). Kept the maroon T25K and threw in a T5 chip while I was at it because screw it, moar chips, am I right? Perfect chipper thought process: I was going to stick to a set for a T25-base STT and then made the mistake of surfing the forums and realized that I really wouldn't need to add that many chips to such a set to have the option to run a viable T100-base STT also and well, I might as well throw in a min order of T25K chips if I'm gonna do that.

And then I thought, why not also add a rack of T5s so I can drop down to a T5-base for newbies who occasionally want to play but get intimidated by big numbers? It's all about flexibility. I may not ever actually do any of that, but that's not important. What's important is that I CAN, and also I got to play with Chipmatic some more to create the additional chips.

I have issues...
