Laughing at how I missed an entire drama thread yesterday because anytime I see "Aztar" in the title, click in, and it's not the good ones I get physically repulsed and immediately click out.

(Legitimately what happened. Now for controversial? Not specifying the Aztar version in the title is worse than any flipping.)

Oh boy, the things I miss while I’m asleep over here in Euroland. Yikes.

Never understood the new chipper discount. Hell, that’s when you should pay the most and if you can’t…buy Tina’s or be patient.

Gotta earn those favors and friendly deals if you ask me. Stick around make sure your in it for the right reasons.

Lots of comments on the flipping tho…didn’t know you you can only profit from NAGB, Facebook finds and when selling to someone financially well off. If you find a $20 bill would you sell it to for $10? No ofc not, unless you’re doing a favor, and pick those wisely.
In agreement with all. Someone recently posted a set of chips I'd wanted for a while but said price was for "new chippers" only. His chips, he can sell them how he wants but he lost a very quick sale had they been open to anyone.

I've been torched too many times over the years to offer friendly discounts to unknown parties. I'll give someone I know a break if I'm selling something and they want it, but I've gotten disillusioned by my experiences.

Members try to get newer members engaged. There is endless lament about how nobody new can afford anything.
So you make something affordable to them.
And instead of passing that affordability on to someone who was like them, they capitalize on it by selling pieces and parts or whole sets for “market price”
Rinse and repeat because people are inherently bad and a lot are incapable of learning good. Or even interested in doing good.

Don't seem like many people like both. People are generally pro Vegas or pro California. I prefer (dull) Vegas colors as well.:cautious:
Finally, we have a subtle difference of opinion. I like both colors. If I had to play with only one color scheme, forever…shit we agree again. Never mind. 🤣🤣

Lol... though I personally prefer Vegas colors I don't mind playing with California or non-standard, it's more listening to some of my players bitch. A couple of my T5 Tournament sets use a yellow T20 and some players can't seem get their brain to do the math. I can't imagine using Cali colors. They might go full retard.

I'm a fan of Vegas colors but I can stand lots of alternate $1 colors, lots of colors for fracs, lots of high-denom variants, etc. But deviate even the slightest away from a red $5 and my head will catch fire  :ROFLMAO:

Honestly I think the newer members are really saying “things are too high for me to flip. I can’t buy stuff at these prices and then mark it up. I long for the old days when chips were cheap and I could make more money off of them now”

Their behavior has stripped the margin off of everything because people now are “why don’t I realize the profit instead of this other guy”. Their greed killed the goose.

Sadly, this is just what every secondary market devolves into. I think we have less exposure to it here than a lot of other collectible hobbies.

No! Not the goose! Shit!

This is the lament of any market as it matures. Always evolving - never the same as it was.
