What video games are you playing? (28 Viewers)

I wonder if their remasterd/re-whatever'd Warcraft III is any good.

Used to play a lot of that.

For anyone with PS5 Plus Extra or XBox Ultimate, Blue Prince will be free on those services on Thursday. I've played the demo and it's incredible. It's a first person, puzzle, Roguelite, mystery game about exploring an ever changing house. Each "run" is a day, but you unravel more of the mystery about the house each day that acts as meta progress.
Finally got around to “finishing” this! Glad I found out about it on here!

Star Wars.
Still Works.

Pinball (Not Really Video)
Still Works.

For a brief time, I had the GC on this at a local sports bar. Pinball is a hobby of like to get into more, but it's crowded out by money, children, and other hobbies.

I'd love to eventually get one for the basement. But I really don't want to have to deal with upkeep and maintenance.

I jumped on the Balatro band wagon. I remember reading about it here. A few weeks ago I was on vacation with my family. Two of my three sons are playing it (14 and 16yo). They were telling me about it and said I have to try it. Then my 14yo bought it for my birthday. Pretty fun and nerve racking sometimes. Highest I've gone is level 20 so far.

Other than that, still playing COD BO6 (and older). Started playing Warzone this last month or so. Having fun with that, though don't know if I will be ok with rare wins, long term.

Been playing Risk Global Domination and FINALLY made the rank of Master (the 2nd highest rank, behind Grandmaster)

I don't expect I'll maintain it, as I just don't have the patience to play 3-hour long Risk battles, that playstyle isn't fun for me. Sometimes you just want to play like a maniac and ruin someones game for being a dick, which doesn't usually result in you placing in 1st

But for the moment, I'll enjoy moving up from Expert

People are hyping up BF6, but after the failure of BF 2042 at launch I'm not jumping on that bandwagon until it's earned my trust back.

I dearly miss the days of Battlefield 3 and 4, heck, even 1942 and 2 were fun.

I finally was able to get a copy of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It's a must play for any RPG enthusiast. Story, gameplay, voice acting, and the MUSIC. It has it all.
I just got it, and it is indeed a remarkable game. So far, it's very enjoyable. The turn-based combat but with the ability to dodge/parry is a unique twist and makes battles a hoot.

Been hammering Pinball FX3 on PC for the past month. Playing all the Williams games is a blast, frustrating and challenging as hell, but a blast nonetheless.

My favorite Williams machine as a kid was Gorgar. I don’t think that’s a table on FX3, are there any 3rd party developers making machines for FX3? Would love to play that one again

I'm not aware of any but the FX3 games are by far the most realistic compared to any other games I've played.

I'm a big pinball fan. Also a big Terminator fan, so the T2 Judgement day table has always been my favorite. I have that one and many others loaded on Playstation.

I'm 53, so when I was a kid, most of the arcades had a mix of pinball and video games. Pinball got hard to find as video games developed.

I'm slightly younger than you but T2 is one of the best. I was also a huge fan of World Cup 94 and Taxi, to name a few.

I'm actually going out tomorrow night to play some real pinball. Some of these FX tables the drain are so ridiculous I don't remember on live tables if it's really that bad. I also suck at nudging for the video game tables, so that's not great.

Anyone playing the Battlefield 6 Open Beta weekend? I've played three matches so far, somehow got the Cairo map all three times. But so far pretty happy with the game, gotta get used to it, been awhile since I played a Battlefield game.

Playing the Battlefield 6 Open Beta and finally managed to do decent, was getting roflstomped at first on scoring.

PROS:

- Sound is phenomenal, really immerses you
- Doesn't take 27 shots to kill someone
- Destruction of buildings, etc. is amazing
- Being the gunner in a chopper is a blast
- Mowing down infantry in a tank is a blast
- Movement feels pretty good as infantry
- Not a bunch of bunny-hopping & sliding sweats

CONS:

- Flying the chopper feels slugging and like a boat, wasn't much fun
- Haven't flown a jet yet so can't comment
- Shotguns overpowered
- Recoil on guns too low
