Absolutely. During our last game we came up with this variant

Called: Hold’em – Déjà vu or Hindsight

Situation: Everyone (at one time or another) who folds during a hand and sees what the 5 community cards are at the end of the hand often say they should have stayed in…blah blah haha. Well, if they liked the flop, turn and river so much in hindsight, have another crack…

How to play: Once the hand is completed (to the river card), leave the 5 community (and 3 burn) cards in place, as well as the dealer button and blind positions. Shuffle all the remaining cards (mucked and stub) into a new ‘stub’ and deal 2 new cards to everyone. Have a single round of betting or just flip for a specified amount. Best 5-card hand wins.

Frequency: Randomly, once an hour (if that).

Agree, I don't want my significant other knowing how much I spend on chips. Molly would know too much. And hey, maybe Rosemary would be good at helping me relabel a set or two with her expertise.

On a serious note, I would point out that 90% of the time people are calling an insert-pattern "tri-moon", they are actually referring to HC aka "half circle".

I don’t love trimoons but then again most of the best TRK sets are trimoons and I love the JD $100…also a trimoon banger.

I would point out that 90% of the time people are calling an insert-pattern "tri-moon", they are actually referring to HC aka "half circle" chips that are not tri-moons

It is a travesty. An outright abomination when combined with SCrown. Possibly apocalyptic when done as a ceramic.

I can only speak for myself but tri moons are great when the spots are all the same color.

IMO not a major fan of tri-moons when mixing with other edgespots in a set.. just don't feel very cohesive with other spots and while I think they can still work, I usually prefer 314/312/3916 more.

That said, I can get on board a 100% Tri-Moon set, or if the tri-moon ties into the theme somehow (e.g. moon chip in a space set, homage chip to a historical casino chip, etc).

Edit: The above only applies to the CPC spot, not the Paulson Tri-Moon.

Ooo... I should clarify then.. good distinction. My prior comments/opinions noted do not apply to Paulson "Tri-Moons", only CPC "half-circles". The paulson Tri-Moons look great in any set, think its that they appear more angular similar to other spots IMO.
