How big are the larger labels on the Sun-Fly 39mm hybrids?Fwiw, I wouldn't go any larger than a 25mm recess on a 39mm chip. Reference Sun-Fly's 39mm hybrids with the larger labels if you want to see first-hand the decline in stackability.
This is true. The MGK molds are very grippy and have a nice textured finish to them that allows them to stack well. I never said that a chip with a larger inlay wouldn't stack well, but it would be more likely to stack well with a smaller inlay.Well, what about @justincarothers new Greek mold that has a 1" inlay area & stack every bit as well as any old THC bricks.
If we are going for stackability I don't believe it would be possible for them to stack any better than his do. Oh, by the way... the small crowns that @Himewad has are 1" dia and they stack like bricks too.
If the majority think it looks better with more area around the perimeter and a smaller inlay then so be it, but let's not make this decision based on how a smaller inlay area "is going to make em stack better", because that just isn't the case.
28+mm, going from memory. How big are the larger labels on the Sun-Fly 39mm hybrids?
I am certainly not advocating for a larger recess than 25mm. I" = 25.4mm so no larger than 25, but 7/8" = 22.2mm & there is a big difference in look, but not much (if any) difference in performance between the two. 24mm would be great!
That looks fantastic! Here's a mockup of the 24mm recess with a 23.8mm inlay.

Others here have more experience with this than I do, but I think it is safe to say that if you are asking the question, you are probably better off going with something that is already made.Once we decide on a mold, how long would it be before said mold was ready to make some chips?

It'll be months, not weeks before this is done
I believe we can move on to the vector. Here's a mockup of the 24mm recess with a 23.8mm inlay.

Already made the vector for the faux mold.I believe we can move on to the vector.
....... The Gecko......
Already made the vector for the faux mold.
Can discuss details via PM if youre interested.

This. Agreed on 1 inch label.I personally much prefer the 1" inlay like the one on the left. For me, I like the extra space it allows for more artwork on the label/inlay. 7/8 dia is pretty restrictive and especially so if "Tina" can eventually match the label colors with the chip base colors properly which will allow for nice faux shaped inlays. If you try and do a faux shaped inlay inside of 7/8" dia it leaves very little room in there!
Here's the difference between 1" and 7/8" labels. I tried to make the web equidistant between the outer edge and the recess on both examples...that meant having to reduce the web mold slightly on the 7/8".

I work in CNC manufacturing, I had already assumed it would be some number of months. I was just looking for an estimate if someone had one, as obviously this process has been gone through before here for some of the other molds that have been developed.Others here have more experience with this than I do, but I think it is safe to say that if you are asking the question, you are probably better off going with something that is already made.

The hard part is that sometimes the line gets thicker during the process, or can appear thicker in the final.Opinion of n line thickness?View attachment 1234125
She did it with the Greek I think. I'll ask her when she repliesThe hard part is that sometimes the line gets thicker during the process, or can appear thicker in the final.
Can she make a protoype of both?
