What's the Most Money You Ever LOST in a Single Night? (2 Viewers)

Cool thread…
Thankfully I’ve not lost that much!! My lowest was $300 but was up $700 so it wasn’t all that bad! Spent the day at the Star City Casino in Sydney and won over $700 on roulette too.. was a pretty good day overall…
Been a while since I played a game of poker though…

$1000 for me at 1/3. Nothing too terrible. I always made sure that was my limit at 1/3 because I wouldn't be too pissed off about it afterwards.

Definitely not as bad as many of the losses in this thread, but busting back to back $300 buy ins at 1/2 (first bust was whatever, second one stung more as I was all in after turning an Ace high flush, losing to a rivered full house) was enough to get me reading Jared Tendler’s The Mental Game of Poker.

Well, I think you won the thread, so there's that.
That's some nice consolation  :ROFLMAO: Online casinos are a bit dangerous I guess

Biggest win in a day
$9.2k worth of hand pays in 10 minutes. $1.7k on Double Top Dollar, then stuck 500 into wheel of fortune then got wheel twice, $3.5k and $4k. Bankroll was $1k and went home $11k.

$5,375 for one single slot spin on Quick Hit

$5k from $1k buy in high limit blackjack at GN, $100 per hand then gradually brought to $800 per hand.

Biggest loss in a day
-$2k blackjack and craps combined, 500 buy in at four Vegas casinos, left the table with 0 for all, absolutely got crushed by dealer having 20 or 3-4 card 21.

-$2.5k high limit slots at Mirage and Wynn, also shitty blackjack luck at Wynn too

My point is I want to keep biggest loss per day less than biggest win per day.

Biggest loss at my 25c/50c home game: ~$550 (in for $800, out for ~$250). Normally I'd stop after 3-4 bullets but I was hosting and we already had a dedicated dealer, so....

Made up for it the following session when I turned $240 into $1050.

Biggest loss at a casino is similar, ~$500 at 1/3. If counting blackjack I once lost $1500 in a night. Ouch.

If we are talking about more than poker - - - the worst day in the stock & bond market is far worse than my worst day in poker.

Worst day in poker was at the WSOP, losing a $1,500 event and then another $1,000 or so playing cash games, all the same day.

Worst day in the markets was something like $100,000, maybe more. But unlike poker losses market losses generally rebound so long as the investments are indexes rather than specific stocks. < and you don't panic sell >

$1400. I think..o_O It was all a blurrrrrrrrrrr

actually that was circus these are an approximate breakdown of biggest losses per game

.20/point OFCP - $380 Inca (race to 100 for $20)
LLM meet up - $1200 (3 day event)
.25/.50 circus - $1400
1/2 NLHE - $1200
2/4 NLHE -$800 (yeah they changed it to 2/5 later on)
1/3 PLO - $1800
2/2 PLO -$400
4 year old numbers, we need this to be updated please sir.

My biggest single loss in a trade was $73K, in one single trade. That one hurt….

It was not an index tracked ticker, and was also halted. Post halt, my sell popped, and was cleared another $12K under my stop…. Lawsuit happened, class action, but the guy declared and bounced back to India. This was all during the blockchain rocket trades.

Fortunes were made and lost in those years, the market was better than Vegas to some, and just as violent to others…
