If you want depth consistency when milling, then use the bottom router method. Biggest problem: LOADS of dust. Potentially toxic lead dust. Use a respirator and have a good vac system and/or work outdoors.

I was also looking to build a limit set and just relabel them to $1s. I might slowly build a decent set with them if they are around in the next few weeks.

You could literally use any high denom in a limit set, or have a label made, the hard part is getting 1k of a single denom.
