Sitting Out
Admin’s if this isn’t in the right spot please move it.
After the hand I had last night, it got me thinking & was curious. What’s the wildest most bizarre hand you’ve been involved in? Home game or a casino, let’s hear them. I posted mine in another thread but I’ll post it here.
The game was 1/2NL with a $200 max buy-in & was playing 8 handed. I had already done a rebuy & wasn’t doing that great on the second one, I was getting ok hands but just getting beat so I decided to mix it up a little & did 2 hands where I called the blinds & pre-flop bets before looking at my cards then make a decision after the flop. Those went about as good as the rest of my night so on the 3rd hand I was tired & ready to go so I told the other players it was my last hand & I was going to play that entire hand without looking at my cards. I had about $175 in my stack, 5 players including me went $10 pre flop. The flop was AKK, 1 guy bets $40, everyone else folds & I call. The turn is a low card & he bets 40 again, I call. The turn is another low card & he shoves all in for $70, I call. He says “are you seriously not going to look at your cards before you call?” He turns over AT, I grab my cards, look away from the table & turn them over. I hear the people at the table going crazy, I turn around to look at my cards & see AK... needless to say he was pissed! I called it a night after that lol.
They say it’s better to be lucky than good
