So maybe it's cause I'm half asleep and my brain stopped working, but here it is.

Playing micro stakes cash game of Hold'em cause I'm trying to unlock the throwables thingies.

I have full house at showdown, villain has flush. Pokerstars gives him the win.
I have a screenshot and submitted it for review.
(Top 3 lines of text. He had King high flush. I have full house. He gets it.)

Edit: as per comments I was playing 6+.
Didn't realise P* had that, was half asleep, using mobile app for 1st time  :ROFLMAO:

Maybe you were playing 6+ NLHE?
Haha yes, I bet this is short-deck/6+
I just now learned that short deck is also called "6+ NLHE", but yes, in short deck, flushes beat full houses.

If you still have them, do any of the other hand histories list a card less than a 6? If not, likely short-deck.

So... why/how does this happen
I'm no expert in short deck (I've played it once), but as @GianThaMan said, it has to do with the probabilities of the hands with the 36 card deck used (no 2s, 3s, 4s, or 5s), and thus the rules of the game have flipped the rankings of Flush vs. Full House when compared to regular poker with a 52 card deck.

I only skimmed this article, but it goes into the math/odds comparison of starting hands in Hold em vs. Short Deck:

I see, thank you! And thanks for the extra reads, I'll have to check them out!

This reminds me of times I have confidently announced nut low, only to realize the game has changed and there is no low. :banghead:
Pleeeeeese screenshot their response!!!

I was hoping at least the PS support response would be funny. I'd be cool with that.

But it's obvious they've created a generic boring template for the response. Booo :meh:

I might have to delete this thread to stop the shame.....lol. Tommy.....(kidding)

No shame -- we still luv ya, GK.

Let the first player who's never misread their hand and falsely claimed victory cast the first stone. :bag:

Was worth a chuckle, though. Think of all the lives you momentarily lightened. :)
