Parish is accessible enough to me (and I'm enough of a hop fiend) that I'm gonna need a report on that.

At the moment, drinking a dirt cheap stout from Trader Joe's, Every Time Stout: Buche de Noel, that shockingly does not suck. I've got a Parish Reve Stout waiting for me if I decide to drink too much tonight. Or a Parish Bloom ... or a Lagunitas SuperCluster ... ah hell, I'm gonna be slow tomorrow.

Round 1 - Crucible: Barrel aged and blended sour

Drinking this double IPA while I attempt to wrap my wife’s christmas gifts. It's 9.5% so this could get dicey.

for me, nothing come close to a Trappist beer

Nice and diverse list. The world of great beer has far more to offer than 25000 renditions of IPA.

Visiting South Florida friends for the new year and went brew-hopping today.

Stop #1 was Devour Brewing, a "nanobrewery" in Boynton Beach. I started with the Sinister Reaper, a delicious porter with a nice blend of cinnamon and Carolina Reaper peppers.

Round two was Blizzard of Darkness, a sweet stout with coconut and vanilla, one of their standbys and one of my favorites.

After Devour, we had a great charcuterie board for dinner, then headed to the Brass Tap (since it was Sunday night and all the local tasting rooms closed early).

I was pleasantly surprised to find Prairie Birthday Bomb on draft, so that's where I started:

I was also surprised to find Good Gourd (a pumpkin ale from Cigar City) on draft this late in the year.

Last but not least, I couldn't resist a Stone Xocovesa before calling it a night.

Yeah, but you can only handle 5 oz. at a time...

Dunno about you mouse-lovers up in Orlando, but our bottles are 25.4 ounces.

If pour size is what matters, you should have no trouble downing multiple 1.5 ounces at a time of my Scotches at @k9dr’s meetup. We’ll have to see about that ...
