Which are the Best Cheap Plastic Poker Cards ? (1 Viewer)

The Marion Cards I bought are vey nice just played with them in a tourney sadly they went from $26.00 for 4 decks to now $43.00 for 4 decks glad I bought enough before the price hike

Aside from that, here's the best deal that I know of. I've been biting my tongue on it, because I'd hate to see them sell out - they're a great add-on, at the very least, if you're trying to get to the $69 threshold for free shipping.

Son of a bitch.
Now that I’ve got a game going, and killed a Kem card on the second night, I decided these were the way to go. I just went to the Spinettis website, intending to order 7 setups, and they’re gone. Mothereffer

Not for me. I like flexy cards. I’ve heard faded spades are on the stiffer side. And at their premium price, there’s no reason to give them a test.
are you stuck on bridge size ? if not the poker size Modiano from amazon for $16 for 2 are not bad at all all though I know the story about what happened with these along time ago

I put a setup of 2.0's into play a few weeks ago. I didn't mind the stiffness of the stock actually, but I was more put off by how slippery they were. It was hard at times to get a good grip on them to riffle and shuffle. It was so odd feeling. It was like they had so much texture on the card backs, but they were so slick at the same time.

Prefer bridge, but not stuck on it. Only stuck on jumbo pips and flexiness.
But here’s something annoying - after playing a couple sessions with KEMS, I’m almost addicted. So I just went through a bunch of setups, to see what would be a good substitute (because KEMs are crazy $$) and Modiano’s barely make the cut. I guess at $16 per setup, they’d be acceptable to me. But I also noticed that modianos are noticeably more slippery than other setups. Not a big deal for me, but for some of my shuffling-challenged players, they might actually be a no-go for me.
Crazy world.

Bam. Slippery again.
It’s easy to overlook when you’re sitting there alone, doing a proper poker dealer’s riffle. But in the real world, when your friends get their big clumsy hands on them, the cards go flying.

They're supposedly coming out with a 3.0 run later this year with more flexible stock, but I don't think that I'll be using them if they don't fix this issue. Like you said, the weaker shufflers in our self dealt game had trouble with them. Even I had trouble with a few cards going flying one time.

talk about crazy world these have been on here for a while but man lol

eBay item # : 153409097728

copy and paste that into the eBay search LOL

faded spade 100%
I sprained my fingers trying to shuffle them. Also, had one card split in two roughly two orbits into the game. For those that don’t know these cards have two components, presumably so they can put the rfid stuff inside them for games that need that.

I like the art, but that’s it. Will not buy anymore setups of these.

Knowing how Faded Spades handle I would advise against introducing them in your game. I have a few new setups sitting around and who’s happily bring them if you’d like but I’m almost certain you won’t like them. Very different from KEM.

Yeah, no interest in those. Now that I’ve had a couple of games for the first time in years, I’m realizing how narrow my personal tastes actually are, despite collecting a wide array of cards over the past few years. All standard index cards have been sold.
Piatniks - gone, too stiff. Fourniers - gone, jumbo index is not jumbo enough.

And again, the fact that it’s a self-dealt game narrows it even further. I’m probably going to sell my Angels next, along with any other cards that have a smooth face. Because despite being beauties to pitch, if the average guy is going to have trouble shuffling them (and they 100% will) then they’re kind of useless to me.
I think I have a setup of dal negros that will have the same problem.

Just picked up a couple of set ups of the Chips and Games cards from the Rainforest company ($11.95). I’ve only just opened them so can’t comment in depth. They feel OK, handling is fine, design is fine. Some people talk about the odor coming from plastic cards which I’ve never really noticed before until these but Jaysus wept they are outgassing. I’ll mess around with them a bit more and report back but for now here’s some photos.

BTW it appears they only come in Poker size, Jumbo index, Red and Blue back

We used these at my game two weeks ago. Held up to a long night and everybody thought they were just fine. They are stiffer than copags and the backs are almost orange and green but colors are easily identifiable. Would buy again!

This belongs here:

Copag
I do not like them (ugly faces and font) but:
- not very expensive,
- large variety of back design, index sizes, also produced with 4 color and poker peek, also one of two brands that make full bleed
- always same stock so you know what you get,
- you can buy them everywhere, USA, Poland or Australia,
- good customer service.
Most of all dealers like them cause stiffer decks tire fingers.
