I've just been informed that Sal Apodaca from Old West Poker Supplies passed away on Feb 13th.

I've talked with Sal via email and on the phone many times about chips and also about non-chip related things. He was an asset to the chipper community. He would always go the extra mile to get things right for us picky chippers.

This is really sad news. RIP. Please keep Sal's family in your thoughts and prayers.

That’s really sad news. I had the pleasure to do a few deals with him for a group buy that I ran and a couple he put together. Prayers for his family.

Nooooooo...... crushing news, RIP Sal. :(

That's terrible. Rest in peace Sal, and thank you for all you did!

So sad, such a great guy and really good at his craft. He will be missed.

:( Incredibly sad, I've dealt with Sal on several occasions, from custom plaques to group buys. He was a nice guy and a great asset to PCF, he will be missed. Prayers for his family.

Whoa, RIP Sal and condolences to his family. I bought some of his pirate-themed bounty chips last year and ended up doing a whole pirate-themed tourney outside on my deck last August just because of those chips. It was a lot of fun.

Well if that ain’t a kick to the nuts. If it wasn’t for him I might not have been able to move all my Riversides.

Vaya Con Dios, hermano.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I emailed him last week to place an order. Praying for his family at this time

Very sad news. Sal was a great designer, business man and chipper.

Sal did so much for the community. I counted him a friend. Honestly I cant think of anyone I leaned more heavily on to help me with my projects than Sal. Always friendly. Always gracious. Always patient. One hell of a graphic designer.
Sal you will be missed.

My last contact was 2/7 to order more River Casino buttons. He seemed in great spirits and helpful as always.

Oh wow, I've only been around a short time but I have dealt with Sal on a few orders and it's been a pleasure. His work with the community on the recent hybrid group buy was outstanding. Very sad to hear this news.

Does anyone know how old Sal was, if he was ill, family details, etc.? I hate this sudden feeling of having known someone without ever knowing them...
