As someone who is constantly reading wanted and trade ads, one thing I personally would love - if folks who are successful would close out the thread with a picture!
I feel like celebrating with everyone who finally gets that last piece, but it's often so anticlimactic when the ads just disappear.

Ok, that's probably a goofy rant and a sign I'm on here too much. But it's true.

My experience with them on the selling side is not good. I’ll just post my stuff for sale and they can buy it from my ad if they want it. A lot of “wanted” ads are just kinda tire kickers. They want you to drag all your shit out like it’s a garage sale.

And yes, the people that have the GOOD stuff have A LOT of stuff.

The people that make fun of that are good for a laugh, but they never have what you want, unless you are just posting wanted ads for grins. So go with them if you want, but it won’t get you your chips. But you will be in the cool kid club, not the poker chip getting club.

Same here. I’ve been around a bit longer, but I still feel like an outsider. I definitely have to put that work in.

Haha hit me up, I’ll sell you all my extra stuff for a fairly reasonable price and you’ll be in business!

But yeah, you got to be out there all the time, everywhere you can.

Snap buy at a fair price. If it’s a fair price, you won’t have problems moving it later.

When I first started I thought everything had probably been found. But as more members joined, finds became a lot more common - incredible finds even.
And just when you think everything has to be found by now given the resources available to search - somebody finds a 1500 piece set from somewhere. So it’s still out there.
